precise consumption for one km?

bro, the road is not a physics lab. ideal condition does not exist in real world.

fc ranges from 350km to 500km on highway cruise. 32.5 liters of fuel

1.3cc Myvi (Manual) - 15km/l - ( PJ - KL )

Why don't u just ask in the MYVI thread? No need to create another thread for this.

High in what sense? This is normal for a manual Myvi. Probably can do better on highway (official specs 17km/l @ constant 90km/h).

Engineer need to be precised only in work only kua....

Anyway, always RM54 and ~400KM.

Your usage should be ok if for City drive and you always go above 90~100km/h.

Yours is Auto? Heard the Myvi Auto sucks fuel a bit. But your figure....280/32.5=8.6km/l is really TERRIBLE!

I think your car got problem...maybe old ECU? You should get the ECU checked or updated. I understand there were some old ECU revision which sucks fuel.

The ECU= Engine Control Unit. This is the CPU of your car. It's under the glove box. There should be a number like BZ440 etc. Check what's your number and compare against your friend's ECU. If it is the same, you need to send back to SC and complain, so that they can reprogramme the ECU.

You can ask those guys in Myvi thread.

True to a certain extent, but it couldn't be that bad. I guess usually Auto Myvi gets about 12km/l, a new auto should get around 10km/l.

When my Myvi was new, it was getting 13km/l.

i traveled around 450km when reached 2/8 bars, pump Rm45-Rm50 fuel for full tank...

Auto Myvi first batch full spec clocked 76k km. RM50 petrol (1.80 per litre) gives me 350km under heavy traffic jam condition driving.

Fuel saver thingy is bullshit one. If it's so good, don't you think all the car manufacturer already install by default??

I can reach 460km...with no fuel saver thingy.

Read my previous post thoroughly:
It's UNDER the GLOVE BOX

You can tembak with a DIGIcam like i did previously, just put it under the glove box and start shooting everywhere, because it's difficult for me to go under the glove box (I'm big sized, and i don't like cramping underneath obstacles, makes me sweat very easily).

Hopefully, one of the pics will show the ECU box. Just shoot and check again where it is and shoot again when you find the proper location. It has a model no. on it. like BZ440 etc.

Here's a sample:

Its achieveable to clock 13-14++km/l for myvi 1.3(A) if u drive long distance and dont caught in traffic jam. Back then when i work in cyberjaya, i easily clocked 13-14km/l. Since changing workplace to Damansara, i dont think i can achieve 13km/l or more now. wink.gif

I don't know about you guys. It doesn't affect me at all...Shell. BP. Mobil. Petronas, Caltex etc. tested with my Myvi a few months. Doesn't matter.

All those 'longer mileage with Shell' slogan all BS. Only difference is power. For me, Petronas is most sluggish. All others are fine. V-Power is without doubt most powerful...but you pay extra for it.

Hi people,

I just got myself a MYVI EZi (Auto) 2 weeks ago and yet to go for the first 1000km service.. So far everything is working fine, except that I find it has very high FC. After I calculated, it takes about RM80 to run 400km. FC bout RM0.20/km. (100% city drive)

Is it my car problem or what? Will it be better after I go for the first 1000km service? damn worry now...if this continues I'm gonna burn a hole in my pocket. sad.gif

Please enlighten, thanks! notworthy.gif

Wait. You should have a more accurate figure after 5k. Also, make sure you know how to calculate FC. A lot of people simply calculate...pump petrol RM xx, then jalan until light blinks...this is not correct.

Do this:
1) Fill till full (pump auto stop). Reset trip meter.
2) Drive for say 200km or so.
3) Fill till full (pump auto stop). Write down the litre pumped. Say 20litre.

So your mileage=200/20 litre= 10km/litre.

Typically, i think most Myvi auto should get at least 11km/l to 12km/l when optimized.

to be accurate its best to wait after 5k service ...
hard to explain maybe u can search and read more, i think at the technical talk subforum of FnF ...
try monitor for a few more weeks then see how 1st ....

fc really depends on how you drive and places you drive.

My auto Myvi, 56k mileage.
I'm a heavy footer (revv above 3k), 90% city drive last 350KM-380KM only.
50% city + 50% highway can last about 430KM.
I tried super light foot before (revv about 2k only), last 480km.
Johor back to KL at speed 140kph to 160kph (average 150kph). Ngam ngam 1 tank, have to pump at sungai besi Shell.
I also tried KL to Johor at speed 90kph (following behind lori) reach Johor with more than half tank of petrol left.
above are base on full tank petrol.

Conclusion, fc may vary ~100km depending on your driving style and place.

How about during traffic jam, do you guys put N gear or D gear. Heard that N gear will consume more fuel than D gear but I heard from another friend saying the other way round. Which one is more precise ?

My advice, plan your trip this will save you a lot. I'm always on N because I hate the feeling when the compressor kicks in.

we can create a non-myvi club liao .. but then no ppl coz too alot ppl got myvi .. haha

anyway, FC cant be compared as everyone's daily route and style r different, even the same driver cant get the same FC every time they calculate on the same routine...
FC stated r just mere estimation...
to determine a real FC, u seriously need to commit and follow the rules + at least need 2 months ...

in roy's case, he needs to pass his 5k km service b4 he can start calculating, so u all don scare him la ... laugh.gif

After gone thru all the info above... i think my car got some weird technical problem or wad... Everyone says their car can go 350 - 400km per full tank but mine was 488km/full tank until last bar. When i first got my car, the car could reach as high as 500++km on fuel bar until 5000km service, it drops to 480km/ full tank.

The worst thing i ever seen is... when it reaches 98-99km, it drops 1st bar when all my myvi's fren said different thing and they witness themselves....Please advise. Something is wrong wit the car..

Something is wrong wit the car..

like i said... all fc stated is just for mere estimation ... u cant get the same as others and neither u can get the same FC in ur own ride ...
there r many factors for a decrease FC... tuning went off, tire change, driving trip change, more passengers, etc etc etc ...
and for ur worst thing, maybe the petrol tank is something like a bottled shaped, top is less than the btm thus after running 98 to 99km it drop down 1 bar ... things will cover up when u r at ur last bar, which normally runs the longest b4 emptying .... (i am not sure since i don own a myvi nor peek under a myvi b4) ...

as long as ur myvi is having a reasonable FC then ur ride is consider good liao lo ... which in my case, 480 is good liao ...

Diesel? @.@

Myvi SE Di Edition.

Jokes aside, 10km/l for a myvi is on the slightly higher side. Can be better than that imho.

Need to know more info, eg:-
-Route to work? Lots of traffic lights?
-Heavy footer? Aggressive driver?

Maybe need time or wait after service at 10k to see.
