and someone remarked on QQ just now - most people don't know/aren't aware their DVD players CAN play DVD-A discs and get surround music - just not the hirez portion.
I myself would have been content with that except that Pink Floyd released DSotM on SACD and I just HAD to buy a Universal player (yeah, right). A couple of years after that the DVD-A version surfaced (unofficial release, downloadable)

Recently purchased the following DVD Audio from a prominent BD retailer in low yat forum (you know who you are!!
Love - The Beatles
It was made for the Cirque de Soleil's Las Vegas spectacular (2006), with the same name.
They got Beatles producer George Martin and son Giles to go back into the studio, scan the tracks onto digital format. Individualise the sounds in the track (individual instruments and voices) and then remixed them all into 5.1
The end results, SPECTACULAR.
I just hope they release the whole Cirque de Soleil - Love show on Blu-Ray with Lossless DTS Master, or UPCM (like Stomp! Lives, another masterpiece)
Too bad my DMP-BD60 DOESN'T read DVD Audio or SACD
