hai guys
normally windows will auto shut down my monitor after 20 minutes idle
the monitor can quickly back to working state if i wanna use again ( less than 10sec)
but starting yesterday, the monitor takes kinda longer time to resume its previous state (more than 1 mnutes)
i never do anything yesterday besides remove a suspicious failure hdd tat cause my windows failed to boot up several times
should i insert window cd to repair it? or just send the monitor to factory?

FURTHER INFO
today the monitor cant even display shocking.gif other hardwares are ok coz i heard the windows startup sound

u using crt monitor or lcd monitor?
if is slow mean ur capacitor which keep power inside so when u open can instant open up. ur capacitor dying soon cannot keep power d.

Since it is a LCD which is quite light if compared to a CRT, carry it over to a friend's house to have it tested.

By the way, switching off and turning on a monitor far too frequently might not be too good for the monitor in the long run. How about disabling the auto-off completely if you don't want the problem to occur again? Go to Control Panel -> Power Options -> Turn Off Monitor: Never

Try the Samsung outlet first because I suspect ALL IT will send it to them anyway if you go through them.

I think they won't help you but if they do, they will still send it back to the Samsung Service Centre which takes a longer time since you have to go through ALL IT to have your LCD RMA'd.

Why not do it yourself instead since there's a Samsung Authorized Service Centre the 3rd(?) floor of Low Yat Plaza.
