Ahh... the legendary cub that is popular wayyyyy back in the early 90's.. It's not on par as the 125Z, LC135 or any scooters now days; but it still a reliable cub to ride! Cheap this, cheap that... equals great! LOL! Alot of it still roams the streets today but a lot of it is poorly maintained. Bring back the pride of Sport 100!

I own a Yamaha Sports 110SS. Can I join da club... TS shud add da title to 'Yamaha Sports 100,110SS,SS2 n Sports 2 Club' better, cuz all of da bike r like brothers..

ride yamaha 100 sport bike for 5 years as a uni student. really bully the motor kaw2. not even slow down at bump,service every 5000KM (2T motor doesn't require frequent oil change is it?) . no problem whatsoever with the engine. the motor doesn't even require special key to start the engine. can use even my room key. hahaha. really nice that day. when the bike is missing, i know my friend borrow it. no need to worry someone steal the bike. really robust and low fc bike. my friend even call the bike turbo racing because of the plate no TR XXXX. when finish study, just give the bike to my neighbor. lots of sweet stuff happened with the bike

Lol... yup 4T oil don nid 2 change often... juz keep track of ur 2T oil only... only u feel ur bike's gear abit crunchy or hard 2 engage, then have 2 check ur 4T/engine oil...

Putra Heights... i dunno y they call the place subang... its in between shah alam, puchong n usj! lol!

Regret bought the bike, very slow... even an EX5 can pass me even when I go full throttle! Then my bike 'kena tarik' coz didn't pay the installment because I use the money to pay to repairing the bike.. Started using the Sport back as daily use on 2004.. I hate driving my car... only long distance travels then only the car come in use.. Oh how I like my bike...

My god... I stay juz opposite u... Tanamera. Behind Shell station... My place also called Tanamera USJ. But actually its so close 2 border Shah Alam Section 26 Tanamera also... Opposite is Putra Heights, on da right is Shah Alam, on da left is Puchong behind my housing area, is USJ edi... Near USJ 12 n 13..

eh, ss2 got club eh? good la.. i own a dual-clutch since 2002. back then in uni, ride everyday to class. now to office pulak, still kicking.. but got small2 prob lately. parts r all stock tho..

Yosh.... hello all, i wanna join the to. I hv been riding Yamaha SS2 110 since 2002 (Uni) up until now (working). Everyday form Bdr Baru Bangi to Dmansara Heights.... ha..ha. still reliable.

oh forgot.. last year i changed to 'singapore' sportrims + duro tubeless tyres.. tired already changing tube every couple of month coz of stupid tiny sharp metals.

probs:
1. cdi (moto semput) - 2006 & 2008 - solved
2. rectifier (batt not charging) - 2008 - solved
3. loose keyhole - kiv
4. rear absorbers keras already - kiv
5. front absorbers keras + stuck sometimes - kiv
6. pipe FULL of carbon (cannot go over 80km/h even full throttle) - 2009 - my mech make a tiny hole inside, next month will get rid of the rest.

need suggestion for #4 & #5.

Anyway.... ur front n rear absorber I think its time 2 change, but da front can be service, tell da mech 2 change valve gasket n add new shock oil... Bout da exhaust, open up ur silencer, clean it wit petrol or WD40 or Zippo fluid... Check c got fiber inside da exhaust 'tabung'... If got, remove it by using ur fingers or pliers. Then go 2 a motorcycle sparepart shop n ask 4 fiber 4 exhaust... I think only RM1.50 (cheap) RM5.00 (longer lasting) for 1 bag...

I think you should change the front absorber A.S.A.P.! I hit a big rock and my absorber gone stiff and I flown in front of my bike! Thank good there is no traffic jam!

SS 2 not on par with 125Z? Have u heard about SS 2 racing spirit? damn powerful that cub..

oh, for rear absorber better go for kayaba (oem) or other brand? price?
issit better if i buy at accessories shop & ask my mech to install them? instead of buy + install at the workshop?

125Z mono shock... n 6 speed. SS only normal dual shocks n 4 speed transmission Yup, I've heard of SS Spirit racing parts... I m trying 2 find 2nd hand parts... especially da carburetor n clutch...

I would really recommend open pod air filter... Better pickup, engine runs cooler but noisy abit...

Y sports can put open air filter? i'm afraid that when I turn the handle, the air filter will get loose that drop..

Can... use RX=Z size 4 da filter... won't kena ur handle... But 1 disadvantage, if hujan.... better take cover or else da air filter is gonna suck rain water n gone.. engine ful wit water...

Last time i also got this Yamaha 110 SS two bike. Now sold oledi coz have to come back to Malaysia.

It was Yamaha F1Zr version 1997. Bought 2nd hand.

Stock Ekzos... i tried stock exhaust with buat isi dalam before... but sound damn loud n lag at low rpm... so i went back to stock.. better low rpm pickup

haha... I've a 110SS passed down by my uncle...
recently just changed tyres to Duro tubeless... but still keep normal rim...
thinking whether to change to sport rim, or just get a 2nd hand nicer bike... haha... cos the engine kinda not good already... pick up feels weird...

I didn't check the mileage, but RM5 will last me 2-3days only...

Same here... RM5 travel 2 KL-Subang Jaya last 4 only 2days... I think it shud be normal 4 old bikes... Mind xplaining more bout ur bike's problem??? C can find solution...

When I jack in the gears (other than 1st gear), the initial acceleration will always be not powerful type and need to throttle a lot... when it hit a certain speed then only will it smoothen out and accelerate easier... I'm not sure how to describe ler... hope this works...

Do you guys use a good 2T oil? For Castrol there's a RM10 and a RM15 one... then got other more exp and cheaper ones too... which ones do you guys go for?
I used the Castrol Activ and thought that got difference, but dunno I imagine only or not... haha... I tried Vpower also...

Urs is da auto clutch 1 rite??? it means no manual clutch??? Maybe ur auto clutch haus edi... dats y u nid rev harder on da 1st gear... Change 2 racing clutch n racing springs... better cuz u will save fuel... engage 1st gear n pul abit only ur bike will move... no nid 2 pull ur throttle kaw2... in dat way, u might save fuel...

Racing clutch plate 4+1 plate n springs I think shud be around RM15-30... As 4 2T oil... I alwiz use Shell VSX RM18 per bottle... Dun use cheap 2T oil... cuz risky dat ur engine might jammed when its hot... Plus, it burns more smoke n smelly oso..

My sprocket I use 15/35... ok la not bad.... but climbing hill is very slow n heavy, but top speed all da way...

Hi, my motor yamaha sport pipe also full of carbon, the carbon can get rid off?
cause i got ask mech around my neighbourhood, they said need to change new one.
cost around rm100 eh, very expensive~!

my mech did this:
1. cut the pipe for easy cleaning process
2. clean it up
4. weld it back
3. re-spray the whole pipe

cost: rm30..

problem solved.

Wanne ask tons of questiob abt SS110

i have a SS2..just using the best shell's 4t and 2t is enough, you can feel that the engine running smoothly even it looks like an old junk..this bike follow me since i was in secondary school..without i think i just need to use my leg walking around my home town like moron..haha joking...
not need to do any modification,just ride with the max speed ( 140 km/j) is enough..what so be risky and ride the bike to 210 km/j..haha
now 125z want to eat away ss2..

i was driving on a yamaha Sport 110ss(look like 110ss but inside using 100 part) motorcycle, about 70km/h for maybe 30min. when i heard the engine making a strange sound. then engine was off for few seconds, motorcycle was not stopped, then the engine self started again. battery is ok, full charged. piston and piston ring, Capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) is brand new. Alternator? any motorcycle expert here. Thank You.

Hi all. Anybody still riding these old school bikes? I just bought an SS2 Racing Spirit from a shop i normally service my Sym cub.

The shop is in the process of full restoration of the SS2. Cant wait to start riding back my school days bike.

Mine is a SS2 Racing Spirit model. I guess the Racing Spirit is the one with the full clutch and not those dual clutch types.

What about yours? I am still waiting for the shop to complete the full recond of the bike.

Mine dual clutch one. Minor different from RS.

I think Dual Clutch is better than the full clutch.
