Still not yet discover too much on my N85...
Cuz scare of damage it..

Anyway, just checked my firmware version
it is only V11
If not mistaken, V30 is already available.
So, if i wanna update it.
Do i need to format my phone be4 update the firmware?
If yes, which format code to use?

so far no data yet.
my product code is 0561448.
I wanted to check it too,
but dunno how to do it.

i am updating my N85 firmware
and i get software update failed msg be4 update start...
can someone help...
and can i update my phone with offline mode?

It had finish download the needed update files
then the error happen when it starting to update.
the msg say that i should plug in the usb directly to the usb port of computer
which i surely did plug in to my laptop usb port...
any advise please...help:

so... it is not our problem?

i try to update using my desktop...
and it state there my current firmware is v30
lol...
so now i click on reinstall, and it start downloading the update files again...
dont know this time will get error or not..

Have u done the update?
How do u overcome that error?

I tried to update it directly using my phone
i key in *#0000# then check for update
after finish downloaded
i install it and it automatic restart my phone
But... after the restart
it show me that the update failed course the update is not compatible with my phone model

lol... seem like its not our problem then...
i think i will just leave this update for now

Try press # while pressing the center selecting key on the file u want to mark.

haha...i still cant update the firmware...
also no idea what to do...

i tried with desktop already
and i still get the same error as i get in laptop.

i also got one like yours for my N85.

ChrisWeiYuan, Can u tell me ur phone product code?
Cuz i think it might be due to different product code
Wonder y my and kae7 firmware update files is 137.7mb and yours and fazrin are 145mb.

can anyone here that had successfully updated the firmware to v30 give me your product code?
i would like to change my product code. thanks.

but still the same error happened when updating firmware.
