hi all,

i've been a horror movie fan since i dont know when. just wanna recommend few movies;

Attached Image

from dusk till dawn, old movie. george clooney looks really young and quintin tarantino is the support actor. story about two serial killer brothers going on a trip and end up at a bar in the middle of nowhere. it looks fine before midnight but soon realize its a trap for drivers/travellers, setup by a bunch of vampires.

Attached Image

Pulse (Japan) is the real deal. dont watch the us remake, i never did. this one creeps me out, especially the scene 'dancing' ghost coming towards you. memorable scene; the one with a silhouette of a guy attached to a wall whispering "tasukete....tasukete..." (help me...help me...)

I know quite a few people mentioned Audition. I yawned a lot during the first hour, but then the tension slowly builds up. the ending is always f**ked up. memorable scene; when the girl *** the guys' **** with a piano **** while saying "kiri...kiri...kiri..." (cut...cut..cut)

rclxms.gif yeah..im remember that mvie..but when i 11 year old..in my schooll,my teacher pasang cerita hantu evil dead.. brows.gif but when the scene nude,my teacher off the tv..waaa...so agry ma vmad.gif ..hahaa

huhu pasang cerita evil dead at school? haha. u were standard 4 some more. yeah as long as i can remember, evil dead went out somewhere before when i was in primary school. it was really scary with the cinematography, from spirits point of view when it come from the woods into the house. you can still see the same style of directing Sam Raimi used in drag me to hell. tilted camera angle, sudden zoom up, a bit comedy, and lots of gore, ppl getting possessed floats in the air. evil dead 1, evil dead 2, army of darkness, drag me to hell are sam raimi's best horror.

suspiria: i like the eerie theme they used and the soundtrack were composed and performed by italian band Goblin. creepy theme song.

Haha, you dont understand lah. You will only understand what I mean when you watch the movie!
yeap. big as a house! not in a good way.

the scene with an eye in the soup, yuck!

QUOTE(edvpc @ Nov 25 2009, 06:54 PM)
wow so many good movie here... smile.gif

The Exorcism of Emily Rose... thumbup.gif
the best moment when i watched this movie, there was something rattling at my rooftop of my house. i was alone and watched it in the dark room... sweat.gif
watching it alone really is creepy. It was based on true events with claimed original sample of satan's voice recording. it refers to himself as the lucifer along with many other versions of his name. that part IS scary, the rest is ok.

few weeks back i went to the cinema to see The Fourth Kind. i know its a fake with all the 'actual footage' and the 'interview', but some parts made me jumpy. went to see at 12am, alone then going back home alone and went to bed alone. can't really sleep that night.

Cujo is a good movie. by watching the interview i feel like its overrated. there are moments made me jumpy too but not really memorable.

to me the most memorable and scariest scene in a horror movie is the last part of Ringu! but thats another topic....

In the interview, the featured scene was described as horrifying because it could happen in real life, IMO.
Anyway, Sadako climbing out of television is brilliant no doubt.
yup i could happen in real life and it did. crazy dog with rabies, i always scared of stray dogs when i was little coz i got a bad experience with them. there are suspense and thrill during this movie, i must admit. one more horror relating to animal is the movie called 'the link' i think. about apes getting crazy and kills people.

Re-Animator is a good classic zombie movie, a bit funny at times. oh i dont remember any of the scenes now.

last night watched Paranormal Activity, at times it IS creepy but i prefer Blair Witch Project than this.

In the original book, Stephen King wrote that the owner's son was mauled by the dog.
huh! that would be nice to see a kid getting mauled by a dog in the big screen. i guess it would be too controversial for the public.

never seen Dog Soldiers before, looking for it everywhere. same goes to Ginger Snaps, where can i get those?

The Descent is for no doubt is my favourite last few years. i love the claustrophobic scene, the suspense, the climbing stunts they look believable.

talking about claustrophobia, other horror movie that have this kind style: Tesis (1996). it's actually a horror/thriller about snuff films but there is a scene dealing with claustrophobic that successfully made an impact on me.

The Cave is nice eh? same feeling like the Descent?

i believe in your verdict, theres no need to seek for Dog Soldier and Ginger Snaps anymore hehe.

Come to think of it, i think i have seen Ginger Snaps. 2 sisters, one of them got bitten by werewolf right? if thats the case, i think its cool! i like the mood, cinematography very dark and evil(?).

Descent sent shivers to my bones especially during the second half of the movie, the ending is quite depressing.

i was thinking to watch the Orphan. is it any good? im a bit off when it comes to little kid overacting.

i see... seems that the Orphan got a good review. ill check it out!

last night re-watched Evil Dead Trap

the cinematography and effect is great, plot line is so-so. the idea is great where they blend the essence of snuff films, psycho thriller style and psychic ghost(?). storyline is simple, even have some plot hole. too much effect sometimes u may think it is stupid. anyway 6/10! (a few T&A scene)

Halfway through Cloverfield, I already felt nauseated. I went to the toilet and was fine after that.

first time watch Cloverfield in a cinema. first few minutes some ppl went out to toilet, another few minutes a lot more ppl go to toilet. half time, some ppl already leaving the cinema. yes first few minutes really got me dizzy, headache.

what do u mean by which movie have the scene?

what kind of movie do u like?

for zombie flick i recommend;

zombieland - fun and comedic

for mockumentary of something of a make-believe;

paranormal activity - can be creepy at times but slow paced
[REC] - spanish but really a good movie

If you want blood and gore, try "Cannibal Holocaust".

yup the 70s horror. some might call it exploitation movie coz exploiting violence and sex in a movie for higher rating. this movie got banned in several european countries for the violence and the use of living animal slaughtering in cinema screen. some other explotation movies; Men Behind the Sun, I Spit On Your Grave

The Exorcist, 1973. The original and the best one. The prequels look bad, that's why I didn't watch it.

I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs. Is it good?
I've only seen Hannibal Rising.

yup its good. 90s thriller which has the same mood as Se7en (the movie not LYN founder). its even better than Law Abiding Citizen.

The Exorcist 3 is the one with title 'Heretic' is it?
