iPhone 2G with OS 3.0
Maxis pospaid user
Carrier Maxis 4.0
MMS setting is ON in Maxis
Installed activatemms2g
Got the MMS feature in Messages application
ON the Edge in BossPrefs

Problem:

1. Can not get the 'Cellular Data Network' under settings>Genaral>Network. Without the 'Cellular Data Network', I cannot set up the APN..

2. When i try to send a MMS, i receiced an error: ' You are not subscribed the cellular date service'. Called to Maxis, operator said this is normal for iPhone 2G..

SO HOW??

I may not understand what u want me to check.

But i lost the 'Cellular Data Network' under settings>Genaral>Network, not the logo.

I try the same iPhone with my DiGi sim card, the 'Cellular Data Network' is there.

Wired why my maxis simcard can not get the 'Cellular Data Network'??

setting the logo, not only make the logo visible, but also make the "Cellular Data Network" settings visible.

Ok, after hard trying over a night, I managed to send and received the mms now. Wish to share my experience here:

1. Call Maxis to activate mms sevice
2. Jb & unlock the iPhone 2g with Pwnage 3.0 (Mac)
3. Install activatemms2g from Cydia
4. Enable Carrier Bundle Support via iTunes 8.2 (Mac) (My carrier is Maxis 4.0)
5. Create custom APN setting thru www.unlockit.co.nz/# & install the software (Let everything blank)
6. Go to www.unlockit.co.nz/# again and create a new profile which
APN: net
Username: maxis
Password: wap
(Select 'yes' for V3 + mms)
7. Done!

I able to send and received the mms even I turn off the EDGE in BossPrefs.

Cheerrss..
