my humble opinions:
just buy the more expensive casing... much more worth for the money...
expensive casing doesn't affect any performance, just it makes your rig much more eye catching.maybe if you buy a cheap casing, if its small, it will not fit BIG graphic cards like the Radeon 4890.. and sometimes the psu may not have enough capacity to power up your rig
so, just buy the more $$$ casing... its worth it

ya rite .
it does affect performance .
juz think of something please .
do some review b4 saying something .
small casing like powerlogic wont fill 10" graphic card for sure.
and d ventilation sucks hell .
i'd say for budget , CM690 shud be good .
if ur looking for cheap but full tower , HAF932 shud be ok .
PSU and casing is d most crucial investment for me .
cause these 2 items will be used for long time .
so it's not a problem to actually get a very big and very good PSU .
they tend to give good result at d end .
Good ventilation will give u good airflow .
this will make ur system less heat and it leads to good result .
i tried my rig in middle tower last time .
and guess wat , my system keeps hanging and my Northbridge temperature very high cause d ventilation not good .
so i end up getting TJ07 which has very good ventilation .
nowadays my PC no more temperature problem .
so yeah , invest more on casing and PSU .
for PSU , get those single rail PSU like silverstone decathlon , corsair , PC Power & Cooling
very good stability .
