QUOTE(Muhammad Syukri @ Jun 12 2010, 02:55 PM) 2.i dunoo lulz,im at KSS btw. Hi again. Can you tell me a little bit more about the hostel rooms in KSS? Boys and girls rooms should be sama, right? How many persons to a room? Do you find it crammed, or hot, in the hostel room I mean. Don't laugh at my next question, got air-con, ah? Are we allowed to install extra locks on the doors or cupboards? I understand the person who used to occupy the room previously may still have access to the room. How do you jaga your laptops or handphones? Is it very far from the hostel block to the lecture halls or for me, the studio? Should I bring a bicycle? What Co-Co activities are we required to participate in? I'm not exactly an active sports person. What about the food there? Reasonably priced? Do students cook in their rooms? I know it's not allowed, but do they? Thanks for taking time to answer. Oh ya, 1 more thing. You know any girls staying in KSS willing to chat with me?

QUOTE(ktanlow @ Jun 16 2010, 03:19 PM) Hi again. Can you tell me a little bit more about the hostel rooms in KSS? Boys and girls rooms should be sama, right? How many persons to a room? about room im not sure myself since boys block got variety of room but usually 1 room with 4 people,or 1 room for 2 people.thats the common type of it.Do you find it crammed, or hot, in the hostel room I mean. Don't laugh at my next question, got air-con, ah? crammed?nope but for me at 1st felt like cram abit, then me and my roommate redesign back the room and put the bed near to the window so can get more ventilation flow.hahaha i still laugh at your question btw,but no aircond for u .Hey dont worry, its freaking cold at night and i guess u will ended up sleeping at studio la most of the time later
Are we allowed to install extra locks on the doors or cupboards? I understand the person who used to occupy the room previously may still have access to the room. Extra lock im not sure because i never use it although i have one,but bring your own lock@mangga since they will not provide it for your locker. Im not sure about previous occupier have an access, but if they wanted to do it,yeah they can duplicate the door's key and thats why you have to bring your own lock for your locker for safety measure. How do you jaga your laptops or handphones? For laptop, before goes to sleep,if u rajin la u kept it into the locker and lock it,after that always lock the door for you and roommate safety,u will never know what happen later. For phone just kept it to yourself la or you can hide under your pillow =.=
Is it very far from the hostel block to the lecture halls or for me, the studio? Should I bring a bicycle? For bicycle no need la,i always see your senior just walk from the hostel to studio, not far at all,nt even 500 metres away =.=
What Co-Co activities are we required to participate in? I'm not exactly an active sports person. As far as im concern, every year we have different cocuriculumn activities, and there many of them, just enjoy it since it counts as your credit but does not effect at all for your grade, surely everyone can gets their co-co an A grades .Btw only 1st year are compulsory to take co-co.
What about the food there? Reasonably priced? In morning and until evening, there is 2 foodcourt inside the campus, the price range affordable la for students but some of it liek western food abit pricey inside there. At night, the foodcourt are close but there is foodcourt just outside the campus, not far at all just walk with your friends no sweat xD.
If you a diet type girl, there is convenience shop inside campus that open till midnight.
Do students cook in their rooms? I know it's not allowed, but do they? As far as i remember,KSS doest allow student to cook at all although they have a kitchen in the block but my senior dare enough to cook but got caught by felo..xD.
Thanks for taking time to answer. Oh ya, 1 more thing. You know any girls staying in KSS willing to chat with me? I have many of my girl's coursemate lived in KSS,but they are not LYN forummer, but if u have fb,u can add them thgt....just PM me if u really wanted it.

Thanks for all your answers! Btw, what interview are you referring to, ktanlow? (please tell me it's the JPA one!) I only received a letter and that did not mention anything about an interview. I'm so freaking worried now!! This post has been edited by candelifera: Jun 17 2010, 02:25 PM

I only received a letter and that did not mention anything about an interview. I'm so freaking worried now!! Oh, I forgot Engineering Diploma no need interview. The Senibina one required aptitude plus drawing test and portfolio with interview. It was held right after the JPA interview. But it was nothing like the JPA interview. Three interviewers to one candidate. Nervous like hell. I also went for JPA interview in Putrajaya. Applied for Architecture. Not successful for PILN. They offered PIDN Engineering in MMU, Melaka, which I rejected. What to do.... my dream is to study Architecture. If you meet any freshie in Senibina Diploma please tell me.

QUOTE(nazril @ Jun 18 2010, 12:40 PM) is there any direct bus from jb to utm skudai? u drop at Sri Puteri. it's after the toll from highway. when the bus reach the toll, u can go tell the bus driver u wanna go down at Sri Puteri. from there, u take the jejantas across to shell (opposite the highway), then u can take a cab into UTM. If i not wrong, taking cabs on different side of highway will have different charges wan. If u take from Shell, i think it's <RM10. any more info u need? p.s: btw good luck for your 4 years of life in UTM man..... Depending on your mindset, u'll need some willpower to stay sane
