the signing make sense, as fergie wont sign a big star striker as he already got rooney-berbatov. there are no such thing as rotation for the star players as fergie is not playing FM ... they will become the next tevez. thats why united glad to have ole as a super sub, willing to sit on the bench and wait for chances ...

owen will be fergie 3rd choice striker after rooney and berbatov ... still wellbeck/macheda is too lightweight to become 4th striker ...

It's lucky for Michael Owen that Sir Alex Ferguson rates him, because Manchester United supporters certainly do not. Since he signed on Friday, the club shop has yet to receive a single request for an Owen shirt.

You may be right to be worried if it was the Wes of old, but apart from last season where he was unlucky to get a long injury lay off, he's been fine. Not as injury prone as he was before. Options for CB: Rio, Vidic, Evans, Brown, O'Shea. Defence is the least of our worries. Those above along with Rafael, Gary, Evra, Fabio and the other reserve defenders.. we have more than enough.

LB = Evra, O'Shea, Fabio..

9 players for 4 positions. Adding more would be overkill..

We'll just replace Ronaldo with Valencia in the side, and it'll be the same like last season formation on paper. Only this time the approach and tactics will be different.

Gary Neville believes Michael Owen's move to Manchester United can rekindle his England career.

The striker, who joined United from Newcastle this summer, has found himself frozen out of the international picture under Fabio Capello.

But Neville said: "Anyone who plays for United over a season has a great chance of getting into an international team, no matter whether it be England or any other country.

"It's a hard club to play for and if you're playing well and doing well then you have a great chance.

"I don't think Michael moved to United for England. He's moved to improve Manchester United. But the opportunity is there for him.''

The defender is also harbouring hopes of an England return ahead of the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.

Neville has endured a miserable time with injuries over the past couple of years but was recalled to the England squad for last month's qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Andorra.

The 34-year-old continued: "I have an opportunity. There's still a long way to go for anyone who thinks they can be in the squad.

"I like playing for England and want to be there. It's frustrating not winning anything with England and not getting to finals but there's still a chance there for me.''
