Skysports.com understands Burnley have had a bid accepted for Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher.
Hibs confirmed earlier this week that Burnley had made an approach for the Scottish international.
Skysports.com now understands Burnley have agreed a fee with Hibs and they have given Fletcher permission to open talks with the Premier League new boys.
Fletcher is regarded as one of the best young players in Scotland after scoring over 50 goals in 150 games for Hibs.
Celtic and Wigan have been linked with Fletcher, but Burnley are now in pole position to snap up the 22-year-old.
Fletcher is due at Turf Moor to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical as Owen Coyle looks to secure his signature.
