QUOTE(hahn87 @ Sep 12 2009, 01:22 AM) i think the one from thermalright that look like flame one. or other brand. more fans doesnt mean better performance? hmm... one fan in middle 2 fan outside. but truth to be told. take 2 fan of the same power stack it up to blow the same direction will lead to lesser air flow power.. tested with 2 CM90cfm fan coz last time pekies did it so out of curiosity i try it. 2 fan should at least have some distance at about 2-3 inch for push pull config to maintain fast air flow. more fan doesn't mean better cooling. proper air flow is anyways, i not gonna get the cooler oso, way off budget jz curious which brand cooler cos with 3 fans it's 1 hell of a big a$$ cooler! QUOTE(veleron @ Sep 12 2009, 09:03 AM) if have the buget to buy true, better opt for corsair H50 or coolit domino ALC liquid cooling, the price is around RM360 only. but those liquid cooler performance r on par with most high performance air cooler onlythey r jz for looks, a cheaper alternative to own a liquid cooler |

QUOTE(piumiu @ Sep 12 2009, 09:18 AM) I used Killerwhale, V8, Achilles, Thor Hammer in the same processor. 955BE. how about comparing all these coolers with cheaper Sunbeam CCF?V8 gets dirty too fast. In few months the fins look black. Fins are easy to bend. Horrible experience unscrewing the mounting as the same screw are used for i7 mounting and AM3. With the same budget Thor Hammer performs better, look nicer to me and able to find 2 fans. Only problem is mounting it after you put both fans. Achilles performs the same with Thor Hammer in idle but in load Thor Hammer performs better that all 3. Bear in mind that my V8 Fan has been changed to Cm 90cfm fan. True is nice and perform well but I like the black version and with AM3 bracket and fan. It cost too much. I'm considering to test Megahalem now or water cooling. |

QUOTE(hahn87 @ Sep 13 2009, 12:10 AM) CCF would be nice if they revamp the stupid mounting so that most board can use it lol but the specs says that V8 stock fan can adjust up to 1500rpm only@piumiu the v8 default fan is actually the 90cfm model with added fan controller Added on September 13, 2009, 12:26 ambtw my sidewinder mouse is now collecting dust xD as i using sidewinder x8 now thats y many wan to change it to 2000rpm 90cfm fan but whether wat the specs says is true o not i dunno... |

QUOTE(creative zn @ Sep 13 2009, 07:15 PM) Hmm.. U guys. What about cm 212+? Is cheap, think might to get it soon. basically they r the sameHmm.. Bro hahn87. Wanna ask about sidewinder X6. Is it great as Razer lycosa? Bcoz the price is same. it depends on u which design u like better u like red theme go for X6, prefer blue theme go for Lycosa Lycosa got touchscreen media playback buttons, n it is a Razer keyboard X6 special its the number keypad is interchangable left or right, n the volume & backlight control r large turning knobs which IMO its very convenient n useful |

QUOTE(hahn87 @ Sep 13 2009, 11:11 PM) lol IMO, X6 keys are almost like laptop too, maybe jz a little higher, but overall give smooth typing & gaming basically lycosa u can reprogram every single key on it.. i personally prefer x6 for the value. u got a lot of dedicated macro keys + they whole number pad can be converted to macro pad. not only that u have 3 banks. means u got total of 30 physical key and 90 macros u can program. and also the brightness of the backlid is adjustable. add on feature like cruise control. on the fly macro record. basically all these give a lot better value for money compare to lycosa. but i like lycosa for they buttons. laptop like. can type very fast xD when i buy X6 i choosed X6 over G15(promotion at RM250 that time) bcos of they keys but Razer Lycosa got build-in memory to save profiles? |

QUOTE(creative zn @ Sep 14 2009, 01:49 AM) Er.. bro nic, what do u means by build in memory to save profile? X6 dont have it? Is it necessary? Thx.. profile is your custom settings, such as the macros & shortcutsif got build in memory means the profile is saved into the keyboard, so use any pc oso got the profile X6 dun have memory, profile is saved on pc, so if u use it on another pc, u have to install the software again... not necessary to have build in memory unless u always bring keyboard to lanparty or gaming competition QUOTE(creative zn @ Sep 14 2009, 09:37 AM) true true |
