but it is for sure way faster than the built-in af motor in body rite...
all that are just same tech for built-in af motor in lens itself..
haih... why they dun wan to use 1 single term la...

yea man i tried ryzan's espee90 and did a portrait too, damn that baby is sharp! of course 5cm is typically preferred for portraits, but i'm way comfortable wit longer focal lengths, boon3's KM85mmf1.4, ryzan's Tamron SP AF90mm f2.8 and of course albnok's SAL135F18Z.... but this i think is a matter of personal preference la, sometimes 35mm is favorable too...

Still not recommended to go Sony centre to buy la. LOL. 50mm for me sometimes also too far. Use UWA for portraits. =p

not only faster, quieter! the in-body motor is noisy la at times... not to mention if the lens barrel big big wan the motor has this mini vibration feel to it... SSM dun have all this...

Added on June 30, 2009, 9:13 amini mau berdiri dekat dekat sama model la ni!! hahaha.... dude UWA has distortion la... maybe la some portraits u wanna add that look, so ok la... but i think 24mm on UWA shud give a comfortable "not-so-distorted" angle of view la...

yes it is way faster

erh,for me, portrait musnt always be 50mm....however,the longer the focal length the dreamier the bokeh (provided you shoot at the biggest opening)
i think i like 50mm and 85mm primes but 85mm is pretty restricted oh?

some people get the feeling ease of mind coz they get their stuff from the brand outlet itself..

the only thing i hate with wide aperture opening is the shallow DOF... can easy OOF la..
around f2.8 slightly better la...

have to go really close lo? but UWA damn fun la...go get one....

cannot just say built in motor because there are differences. say tamron 1750 with built in motor and sigma 1850 hsm. the sigma has faster af because of the hsm and not the normal motor. normal motor like in tamrons are noisy and slower.

even canon's usm has two type of motors..one fastest and one slower..if im not mistaken the fastest usm is the ring type..and slower dont remember the name.

I'm getting 1 soon la. Trying to survey around more and to get the best deal. To avoid any regrets. (:
