QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jul 1 2009, 01:43 PM)
dear day traders

it is time to slow down and take a break from the stock market.

dow is having difficulty to pass 8500

ci is tired of cheonging above 1100

read this, from one of the respectful blogger

...After having ridden the markets for about 15%, I can say that at present levels the markets everywhere looked tired. I did say that this year the Sell In May mantra may not be good advice. Good is good, it cannot lasts forever. The current run is sustained by additional inflow of funds back into the market place. We already had very decent months in March, April, May and June. A normal market rally or rebound rally normally don't lasts that long.

I would reduce my exposure to stocks from 80% to just 20% till the picture is clearer. I looked at the market leaders board for the past week and am totally unconvinced with the market leaders. If you are not going to go up, its down, baby. Look for me at 1,000 or thereabouts.

Markets cannot keep the momentum up for so long, we still have to remember that fund managers need to go on holiday plus they need to reserve their bullets for the last quarter...

Thanks Pana....Really good write up. Every where is so tired already. Everyone taking a break, or looking for directions. Should just wait for further indications from the market. Prepare some bullets too.

I think I will sell off some shares today...Don't look like a good market. Won't regret if it went up, I hope. Stupid Astro still on my mind.

But at least will still have cash. I need $1.53 from Sapura Crest. icon_idea.gif

This happening quite frequently recently:

"U.S. stocks were set to open the third quarter with gains Wednesday as investors await reports on employment, housing, manufacturing and auto sales."

Open with gains, then when the reports come out....start to drop bye bye... tongue.gif

hahaha... very true... lets hope tomorrow tanjong can TP la...
waiting to TP with 13.90 or 14.00
worst case wait till the 2 dividend come out la...
Any advice? Wait till dividend or TP @ 14.00?
If dividend come out, share price will correct but after correction it will go up again cause TANJONG high beta stocks
dividend pay out today tomorrow share price rebound back to normal price as this is the trend i see
hopefully someone can advice on TANJONG...
*
I hold...My TP high...@ 16. Depends on performance also. But current profit, I will continue to hold and eat the dividend.
icon_rolleyes.gif

Also, is Tanjong holding a lot of your cash back? What purpose you buy? Hold long long or just buy 500 at 13.x and sell at 14? hmm.gif

If trading one, sell at your TP and then look elsewhere. icon_idea.gif

i myself also not sure wanna hold long term ka or short term...
now i have 35 lots of TANJONG with average price of 13.25 and still not sure what to do...
*
Tanjong is strong stock, can hold for long term. If it takes up a big proportion of your cash, sell partial.
Perhaps half. .

I don't know your risk level or trading persona, though. That's what I would do. Lock in some profits, get some cash ready for next correction, and still have the chance to collect Tanjong dividends. smile.gif The bonus is if Tanjong price appreciates. CIMB calls it Overweight with TP of 16.70.
