Turn off Electrical Appliances?, Do you turn off when not using?

Hi All,
As mentioned in the subject, did you guys turn off the electrical appliances when you are not using it? For e.g. TV are on standby mode? or you will power off them entirely? And what about charge such as handphone or anything like Digi Cam? Do you turn off the switch when the devices are fully charged?
The reason i am asking because some people said if we left it turn on, the electricity actually still running? and will cause more expensive bill? Right? hehee ...

If its standby mode, yes eletricity still goes.

But the power consunption is not as much as when the TV is turned on right? What about Handphone and Digi Cam charger? I think i am having problem to turn it off everyday. I just plug out the charger from my phone and the switch will remain switched on.

Very little in term of micro or miliamps depending on the design. Another area that most don't bother to turn off is the bipole switch for water heater or aircond. If the red light is on, current is still flowing.
