I have completed my studies now; so can I close my bank account which PTPTN used to bank in the money into? I seldom used it anyway, and don't think they're going to need it anymore right?

I am now in law foundation, I didnt apply PTPTN but I received a cheque from PTPTN last week. Since I only intend to take loan from PTPTN next year. So if I turn down the offer now, will they reject my application next year?

If it is WPP, just don't cash it in. No need to turn it down or anything.

Added on September 13, 2012, 6:38 amDoes anyone know when and where to hand in those PTPTN documents? People kept saying that they are turned in after they approve your application, around the 21 of September. Sounds dodgy to me.

there must be a notification in your uni.. for mine, they post on the notice board, online everything.. better to confirm it quick

Is it that some PTPTN officers will come and collect? That was what we were told but I'm not entirely confident with how they work.

yes, very simple actually..
on the date itself d staff n come n collect. just queve up and prepare whatever is required.. especially the stamp, extra copy of ur personal details, stationaries like glue or pen in case handy.. they ask u to print sumth like checkbox right? that is for them to tick.. for my case, everything gone smooth. but i heard stories from my fren they forgot the important stamp, some doc missing n den get scolded.

Btw, in my uni there is like a pre-checking doc.. docs r checked by uni scholarship staff. so we dont have to worry for the final checking.. coz our mistakes are clear and corrected by them. just double/triple check as much as possible and be punctual on the official day.. then you'll be safe

Have any of you guys received double payment before? My current situation is that I registered for my course during September 2011 which i had to make my own payment to my uni first. I applied for ptptn on Nov 2011.

My 1st payment arrived during Feb'12 - RM7944

My 2nd payment arrived Sept' 12 - RM 7944 x 2/RM 15, 888


I am required to make my payment on September this year and also Feb next year. So, the double payment I received this month is to compensate my first initial payment? Or for my Feb fees next year?

Will I be receiving my Feb loan?

First question, I didn't apply for First semester and trying to apply at second semester, but will the first semester result affect my second semester application ?

Second question, Ptptn online loan application for tarc college is opened until 30 September 2012. I went to the website and read the guide but it is so complicated. So I would like to ask whether these steps are right or not.

1. Go Maybank open an account, then open a SSPN account at Maybank by asking the staff. (Can my parent open the account for me or the account must be mine ?)
2. Get the Pin Number at BSN. But then the steps are complicated. What should I do ? Just go to the nearest BSN and register an account then buy the pin number from the counter ?
3. After getting the Pin number, go to the online website and fill up the form.
4. Wait until the loan application end and check the result 7 days after the deadline.

1st ques no , only counts once u successfully applied.

2nd ques is better to be ur account. yes tell them ur applying for ptptn and wants to buy pin number. it will cost a few RM for sure. dont worry they will settle everyth for u, just follow instructions. fill in d forms & keep d receipt. keep every single doc they gave it to u, in case ur college nids the same copy..

btw u dont need a cimb saving acc? or u got it already?

for them to transfer d money? during my batch we nid to open one. for yours im nt sure. if they didn mention then you dont have to , i guess.. nowadays they straght bank in to college's account..

Different uni/college, different banks. Depends on the institution itself.

Want to ask, can i ask PTPTN to transfer more cash for a current semester?

My course (Tourism), require me to travel overseas for field project which the cost of travelling must be bear by the students and not funded at all by the college. (Yes, I rage)

Since PTPTN approve my loan which is way more then my course cost (course=38k, PTPTN give=47k), can I ask them to bank in extra cash for the stupid trip?

I need some help regarding ptptn payment. I'm wondering why some people only pay rm1xx per month and some rm3xx? Is it I need to apply or?

the ptptn form got stated need use ball pen or gel pen and its colour ?

Now I am filling the PTPTN online form, one question, what should I fill for "Butiran Ibu Bapa Kandung" if my father and my mother divorced, and only my mother is responsible for the family, not my father ?

Notes: I know my father is alive, and I know exactly where he lives. Sometime he will bring me to his house, but he never took the responsible for the family.

Edit : And what is "NO. CUKAI PENDAPATAN:", and "NO. MATRIK:", I know it is student ID number, but do I need to fill in words or just numbers ? Example, my student ID : 12WBD12345, so I fill 1212345 or 12WBD12345?

Edit 2 : Where do I check what bank is needed for TARC?
