Hi people! those of you who clicked on this thread i believe u guys have the same questions as i do and unable to decide which of this two monitors to buy?

To those of you who have owned either one of this model (or both!) pls comment and help us decide which of this two models are the best AOC 2434Pw or Samsung 2333SW.

refer on the lcd thread discussion , been using no problem with max res setting , quality & quite decent price for 23.6'' lcd too lol

Specs, AOC, design I like Samsung better. Go see for yourself lah which one nicer. I find that the design of the LCD plays a VERY important role. Heck I look at my P2350, even when off... also shiok.

Samsung 2333SW owner here, my LCD dun have color problem

I believe "sw" series Samsung monitors its quality just normal only. When set the contrast/brightness below 50, its will look a little dimmed.

look at my rig bro... ..

AOC is the best... ..

You selling AOC 2434PW right?

i also plan to get one, either aoc 2434pw or this samsung 2233sw.
i think will go to AOC, due to these advantages
1) got HDMI port for PC,PS3 or blueray player ( bad thing is no DVI, walaoeh)
2) can adjust height (samsung 2233sw cannot adjust heigh one)
3) got speaker (not so important for me actually)
4) 2 MS GTG response speed, samsung 2233sw is 5ms typical response speed
5) higher dynamic contrast 60k vs 20k (not so important for me too, actually 20k also sufficient loh)
6) higher brightness AOC 400cd/m² vs samsung 300cd/m²

for design i think quiet good also, especially white+black, btw samsung design also pretty.

2nd to Konohamaru. My vote goes to Angelo

Been considering these 2 models recently, finally bought the 2333SW+
Love the design of Samsung LCD.
AOC my friend will think it's unbranded

of course samsung brand is more famous, pasar uncle auntie may know samsung, aoc sure they dont know one.
same story with viewsonic at the first time loh, USA very famous brand, come to malaysia here got people say it is unbranded

Samsung has been overrated nowadays dear...
See how many forumers here are starting to boycott Samsung products...
Their products are excellent..
But the "service after sales" is a thumbs down for me...
Look how long they took to RMA a monitor...

bcoz those samsung products I used before until now still no problem
so no comment, then if after sales service is bad, then its a big big thumb down

tats why branding is the most important marketing strategies in 21 centuries.. we can see consumer can easily get into decision although unbranded product has more features on it.

Between all 3 i choose Viewsonic VX2433wm, full hd, vga, dvi, hdmi, 2ms, 20,000:1 dynamic contras. rm700-730.

Don't get Samsung products.

It takes forever to get them to fix it if there is any problems.

No kidding, my T240 is still in their service centre, and it's almost 5 weeks no without providing me a replacement model and they can't tell me when I can actually expect my LCD to come back.

but that model some reviews says the black is not dark enough, quite grayish

I will no longer buy any Samsung products anymore.

If I get another LCD it'll probably be Dell.

lack of dvi really makes aoc a tougher buy for those tht dun like hdmi.
samsung after sale service really tht bad? most of my samsung product either die slowly o replaced be4 dying so nvr try tht be4..haha
AOC dead pixel warranty policy is better too i think cause 5 dead pixel compare to samsung 7 dead pixel right?

Last time I also boycott Gaygay products due to their slow RMA process in which it took me 5 months to replace my problematic 88GT.

Not a bit problem if don't have DVI port, because DVI to HDMI cable wont make the pic quality run right? I also intend to get AOC, but the price is too cheap for 24 inch make me scare it easy to spoil.

What the different between st2410 vs G2410?
after discount they cost similar.

g2410 cost rm1769 after discount 899
st2410 cost rm 949 after discount 799

st seem to have more port and most important with hdmi

I been using 2233SW over 2 months, i use it for gaming at 1920x1080 resolution, no problem...

2233SW is nothing to do with this thread.
Aiyo cannot fit HDMI-to-DVI adapter to this 2333SW.
The uneven area at the back of the monitor is blocking the long adapter.
Maybe a mini adapter will allow me to fit it.

So TS, did u get ur AOC? any comment? Cause i getting soon. haha.

Im using Samsung 2333SW n it works exceptionally fine till now but tbh AOC 2434PW stands out more in terms of features. Never saw AOC in real life but if u ask me is Samsung 2333SW worth ur money i would say yes, for sure.

Before i look into AOC, i prefer samsung since my old model 17' lcd monitor is samsung, it is really great in PQ.

Recently plan to get a new monitor, i look into the other brand like AOC. At first, i just saw the reddot design award for this model, then after google it, only found that it really get a good reputation in this model.

Samsung - dvi
AOC - hdmi
both actually is digital signal input, so there is very less or no PQ impact.

IMO, hdmi more future proof than dvi.

Beside that, i prefer try out the AOC other than samsung.

i don know what the issue without dvi, i thought there is dvi-hdmi adaptor for our graphic card? i have one came with my gc didnt use b4, can use to connect the hdmi slot right
