Does anyone know if Maxis is going to give us a confirmation on your collection date when you make the pre-booking payment or we can only find out a few days after the pre-booking deadline on the 24th? I'd like to know the collection date during/before making the pre-booking payment as I might not be around after 31st July.

I think I will be keeping my AU iPhone instead of selling it and purchase the Maxis' set. Guess I'll have to live without the local warranty. As far as I know all the i-Whatever plans are exclusive for Maxis iPhone buyers only. Is there any other data plans available for non-iPhone buyers? Or the only option I have is "pay-per-use"? The last time I checked the rate for pay-per-use is quite high.

EDIT: Just checked Maxis' site and the the 'jump' from one plan to another is quite huge. RM5, RM8 and then RM99? :S Guess I'll stick to pay-per-use for now. Bunch of thanks!

That's crap! I am not too sure yet if I'd be using a lot. Hence, I would like to find out first with pay-per-use....now that you told me, experimenting this is like playing with fire. LOL. But RM99 is a lil over the top for me.

I think I will be using data mostly for GPS and perhaps some light Facebook-ing and IM-ing. Won't need Push Notification, etc. Oh, if only the iData 30 and 50 is available to us too

I don't know I could subscribe to iData plan if I am not Maxis' iPhone customer. That's another reason why I would like let go of my iPhone and get theirs.

I guess those three are not an option at all for me! The first two are obviously too little and the third is too expensive (and redundant) for me. The 250mb at RM30 for iData 1 is the sweet spot. But alas, me can't have it Maybe I will juggle my options again. Thanks for calling Maxis for us. You've been a great help
