no wonder those who walk in, pay rm200 already the center also dunno wat to do with it, coz no instruction/letter from HQ. Hehe!

yeah tat's me. just give it a try. call 123 from maxis number and ask to check booking status. they will ask for your confirmation number

for those whose going in to the centers without booking, beware. again, the stores have no directive from HQ wat to do with ur booking fee. Either they succesfully helped u book it, or it's sitting there doing nothing.

for those who didnt recieve their email yet, wait for 24 hrs. then call 123 and complain kao kao. Still not gotten mine yet. i'm waiting for my 24 hrs to expire and do just that. He he!

i second tat. dont need to have insider source. just look for a more nerdy looking fellow in maxis centers. they will tell u the same. No unlimited data plan for Iphones. It's capped at 3Gb!

but just wondering. I thought they only lower ur speed once u reach 3gb (fair usage)? tat's not the case anymore? now need to pay?

i think maxis is just keep quiet to maintain the hype. They would already have the stock already. even when apple cannot meet demand, the stock will be halfway accross the world. Apple cant just ask the ship to U turn and sent the stocks back to them...

even if it's really not enough units, dont u think maxis will quickly update their booking page to say "Booking is now closed due to... "? or they prefer to face the wrath of those who's already prebook?

so i think maxis just keeps quiet, let u think there is not enough unit and quickly make more bookings. at the end of day, they r earning big bucks.

so since they guarantee us we can collect on the day of collection, we dont have black n white right?
tat means collection date if we cant get, we also cannot sue them right?

so meaning to say they are taking bookings blindy, after 24/7 only they count stock whether it's enough?
like tat who book late, sorry la.
i think then they will based on the order of paid confirmation numbers to determine who can collect their units on the collection day.

remember dont go surfing happy and surf immediately after getting ur 3GS. wait for the sms to come first to inform u on the free 500mb, b4 u start surfing through 3G. if not, dont cry if they charged u $$/kb!

yes. they will activate ur 3GS (and hence the free 500sms shortly after tat) using ur existing sim card. so those who plan to purchase via hotlink, pls convert ur postpaid plans now! u have been warned.

u mean they do have quota on how many ppl can collect per day? thought there is no checking? coz the kakis here mostly going to collect on 31st july.

i can confirm this. maxis booking page has apparently updated their website. Many options have been updated.
they now do checking on available time slots.
ie. i can now tell u Gardens maxis fully booked up till 1st aug. 2nd aug only got free slot.
Sunway maxis fully booked till 2nd aug, 3rd aug only have free slot.

if they would have implemented tis earlier, we early bookers no need to be so confused

Once again maxis BS. FAQ says booking ends 11:59pm 24th july. I try and still manage to book 12:15am 25th july.

Mr Kong, i also heard tat u r working for 1 of the competitors of maxis, spreading rumors here... marketing tactics .

anyway. they recieved their stock a week ago. they have no point to delay and face the wrath of so many who has booked and paid deposit (prooven by looking at the fully booked locations. Even penang also got center fully booked....). even the press like Star , Sun have published maxis will launch by end of july.

so stop spreading rumors. thanks

screw up from maxis part:
1) they are so not prepared. collection time stated 9 am, shop open only 10am. so reach there 8.30am, need to wait until 9.55am
2) 1st to arrive but 2nd in queue.... waitaminute, wat q? Refer to attachment (How to paste pics in here anyway? ). went jalan jalan after arrived. apparently counter number for iphone collection starts at 800.
3) 16gb they charged me 2490, forgetting to deduct from the booking rm200. void transaction and re-swipe card
NO SURCHARGE. DONT SPREAD RUMORS! (unless those small small kedai wanna katuk u )
4) their system damn slow. must be hogged by klcc.
5) no stock still promo roadshow at ground level gardens??
6) like dunno how to register to activate my hotline with 3GS. staff was asking here and there. maybe i am their first customer.
7) free 500mb sms recieve within the 30 mins. however, need to wait another 2 hrs b4 can use. but 2 sms came in.
1st sms says: "free 500mb and can start surfing."
2nd sms says: "you have been charged rm98 for activation-3G???"
3rd sms says: you can now surf at 1sen/kB??"

good news is:
1) they do keep a list on who paid their booking fee on wat day. they crossed out my name from the list once i collect. guess they will reject those who paid too late (2nd batch?) saw the list - 32gb really alot of ppl book. 16gb much less. wat recession?
2) overheard maxis stock say "go pass stock to Machines (gardens)". those who book there, better call to check.
3) took 30 mins to pay but 10 mins to activate, even though their system damn slow.

p/s: y the complaint about yellow light? i read and knew about tis even b4 the launch in malaysia. Apple already announce this is a warmer feature, better for the eye (and battery). so stop complaining
