Not sure if anyone here pre-ordered from Takacom Cellular during their roadshow at the Curve 2 weeks ago but I just called them up to check on my order status. As of 2:15pm, they have yet to receive any stock. The lady I spoke to said that they were supposed to receive their stock for the iPhone 3G S 16gb/32gb earlier today but they're still waiting on their delivery. She also mentioned that they will be calling each customer who pre-ordered to inform them about when/where they can pick their iPhone up.

However, after ringing Takacom up again, I was informed that Maxis is utilizing a different system while the other retailers were on another system. To cut a long story short, Takacom was able to verify that my booking was in their system and that they would ring me up when they've gotten their stock. I suspect that the point about collection date/time slots as mentioned by some of the other posters here are being used by Machines and a couple of other distributors, not ALL distributors which I thought initially. Let's hope that all of us would be fiddling and tinkering with our iPhones 3G S by Monday  |

After I told them that one of their managers said that I would be able to get my set on Friday evening at the earliest and Saturday morning at the latest, she kept on insisting that the earliest that the customers who pre-ordered would be able to get their units would be on Monday. I don't mind waiting to get the iPhone but all the shuffling around and the different stories I get from each person I speak to is more than frustrating. Just wish that they could give me a straight answer instead of passing the buck off to someone else. |
