Hey there!

My contact is scheduled to arrive in Rome on the 30th, and will be scouring Rome for 2 units. Targets are TIM and Vodafone store in I-Granai, as well as the Apple Store Rome in Roma Est.

Have you personally seen these iPhone 3GS working with foreign sims before? The previous cases of confirmation on the old 3G model basically does it for me, but it would be nice to get a confirmation from someone who is there already. Any word on this?

Hey! wow ppl in Malaysia just don't sleep.. haha..

I have seen iPhone 3GS selling in Vodafone, TIM, and some other electrical shops (e.g. Fnac) in Milan.. and it's coming to 3 Italia stores in July.. Apple stores are yet to be opened in Milan...

Personally I have not seen any iPhone 3GS from Italy working on foreign sims, but my sister bought an iPhone 3G when she was here in April and it works.. In fact I activated her phone for her in Italy, no problem with language as you can select English as your default language, even the given charger is a 2-pin plug and since Italy and Malaysia are using the same voltage, there's no need to get a converter specifically for that.

Oh absolutely no contract needed.. Just tell them you want iphone ricaricabile and you can buy them off the shelf without any contract and if I'm not mistaken it comes with prepaid sim from TIM or Vodafone.. if you buy from TIM or Vodafone..

How much is it selling in Apple store in Roma anyway?
