Hi peeps. I'm new here and im wondering if anyone can help me identify my cat's breed. She's a stray cat rescued by one of many kind vets and i adopted her 2 months ago. She is playful and loves attention. One thing she love the most is cloth, she would play with my rugs by dragging it across the room and leave it there for me to tidy. Wonder if here behavior could help identify her.
Here are some pictures of her. Would really appreciate if anyone can help me. Thanks! This post has been edited by dearmissazy: Sep 26 2011, 11:27 AM |

QUOTE(badtzcarol @ Sep 27 2011, 10:29 AM) american shorthair? yeah i think so too, must be mix bengal a bit DSH a bit too. her fur is very soft too. i think mix some of them ========= btw , anyone can share what the cat liter's brand that you are using? i had changed 4 brands, but..hmmm , not too good i have tried many types of litter and i really love using silica type as it absorb odor fast and not dusty unlike wood pine and clay litter. It is also light in weight so its easier to dispose and it is environmental friendly too (at least that's what it says on the package). I am still trying out the silica for close to 1 month now and so far i like it. I started using silica when i saw the pet shop in midvalley mixed silica in the litter box for cats. Hope this helps. Added on September 27, 2011, 1:22 pm QUOTE(phas3r @ Sep 24 2011, 01:07 AM) Me too! A petshop near my area sells RC Fit 32 at RM25/kg. Others ranges around that too. Is that cheap enough? and its repacked. My mom bought repacked RC in bulk and cant keep long cause it got spoiled so quickly with worms in it! I wonder if repack RC or any other brands is good. Any opinions/experiences?This post has been edited by dearmissazy: Sep 27 2011, 01:22 PM |

QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Sep 28 2011, 05:34 PM) Postage also can but of course the buyer pays for the postage --------Cod also can Added on September 28, 2011, 5:36 pm I dont think that is an auto feeder in the first place. An auto feeder has a container where you can put the food in and it will slowly come down once the food in the bowl is finishing. This looks like a normal pet bowl only the difference it has a water bottle attached to it. To get your cat to drink out of the water bottle, try to put some tuna water in it first. Your cat will smell the tuna water and start licking the nozzle. The slowly put in water and tadaaa... your cats is drinking from it. Good luck Yeah agree. The attachment is for illustration purpose only i think. anyways, that is a great idea to mix tuna water to help cats lick the bottle! but im thinking of buying the one with a bottle which auto fills the bowl. saw those in pet shops. how does it work? any opinions on types of auto feeder which are good? thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Sep 29 2011, 09:55 AM) Basically, I am not a fan of auto feeder unless I am going away for a short trip. you're right bout the spoiled kibbles. just an option if i had to go away for the weekends. When you put the food inside the auto feeder there is an outlet for the food to come out so air can actually go into the container and then spoil the food inside the container. When I say 'spoil' is 'masuk angin' so some cats might not want to eat the biscuits anymore. Better to put fresh kibbles every day As for the water outlet, I think you are talking about the drinking fountain? It is good as there is a filter that will filter the water so all the dust and hair will be filtered. You can see a sample of a drinking fountain at my website. My price is cheap compared to outside will check out the drinking fountain later. saw a closed litter box for sale in your website. does it have a filter in it? ive read few with filters for ventilation. im not quite sure how it works though. by the way, i love the scratching posts that you have and its a lot cheaper! sadly i bought one few months ago ady.. |

QUOTE(verulin @ Sep 29 2011, 10:40 AM) well that's too bad..every cat is different and some don't react to catnip or silvervine, regardless of age. you could try again later. and what type of plant is that? some plants are toxic to cats if they eat it. there are lists of toxic plants which you can find online showing off my babies video of my cat on catnip http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150294076211693 the plant should be fine. my friend has it at her house with cats and dogs. |

QUOTE(Cotton Diesel @ Sep 29 2011, 04:38 PM) my cat loves RC kitten. but just this month i changed to RC adult fit 32 (as consulted) and seems like she eats less compared to when i feed her with Smartheart adult. Had to finish the smartheart first cos bought it during the Raya break as most shops are closed. cant get RC on short notice. hated smartheart cos poop smelly and she keeps eating non stop. guess its due to the corn by-products in the the ingredient. RC is definitely good for persian. my mom's cats been on RC for years and fur so nice! not so sure about RC for DSH or other breeds tho. my cat (DSH prolly mix other breed) is still on her 1st week of RC adult and so far ok. only eat less (could be due to the high meat content, rather than the corn and stuff). want to try BW next since saw so many good reviews. RC is a bit too expensive.. |

QUOTE(verulin @ Sep 29 2011, 05:10 PM) smartheart is very terrible food. the meat content is reeeaaallly low so that means lower nutritive value, which means your cat needs to eat more of it. RC is better and has higher nutrition so it's normal for your cat to eat less of it so true. smartheart and other commercial cat food are bad for cats. thought she hated RC. haha. cos she eats a lot when she was on RC kitten tho. i wonder why.. |

I couldn't believe my ears when they called me around 2.30pm and said that my kitty ran away.. QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Oct 5 2011, 09:16 AM) They are many brainless people out there Verulin may God bless you cutiepie. rescuing strays is always a hard but fun job to do, nursing them to health. When they see stray cats they think that stray cats are ugly and horrible because of the state that they are in. I found a stray cat and nursed it to health. From an ugly duckling he become a beautiful cat! Geuss what!? He is a Domestic Long Hair. I will post his picture soon! i've always hated ppl who hav issues towards stray cats. my first stray was naomi and she ran away during mating season last november. didnt find her anywhere near my house. still hoping for her to come back tho. now i have sookie with me also was a stray rescued by a vet and petshop owner. both cats i brought to the nearest vet around my area and guess what. the VET told me this is what happens to stray cat; they need timely vaccinations and deworming and are prone to sickness (with an icky face on). as if rescuing a stray is a BAD thing. my impression changed since my second visit. im looking for a feline friendly vet who cares about both strays and well breed cats.. anywho, thanks to the meds sookie has now recovered from her lung infection. she is still 9 months old. QUOTE(verulin @ Oct 10 2011, 02:53 PM) use sticky-tack or blu-tack to hold fragile things down. it's like a kinda sticky plasticine oh dear, those will ruin every surface i stick em on then..but i dont think it could hold em unless i use a lot. the anti slip bathroom rug oso she can drag away... you can find it in most hardware and stationery shops like Popular anything like a repellant kinda thing? so she wont dare touch? |

QUOTE(Cotton Diesel @ Oct 10 2011, 03:54 PM) you're right. those are good for keeping othr cats from your compound. but i was thinking of something that maybe is less strong than a repellant. verulin, ive tried evrything ive googled..took away the candles and pebbles and now she's on to every possible rug in the house and the vases. bought scratch post for her oso got bored.. maybe she's too bored when im at work. |
