I am student who holding 'P' driving license.This morning I drive to skul around 9.30 am.
I dashed a red traffic light and saw by a policeman.
He didn't block my car,and my friend said he copied my number plat then he leaved.

My fren said they will send me a letter and will charge me.

Here is my question.
If I dashed a traffic light,what will they charge to me?
My frens said they will fine me RM 80 and cut 10 marks of my 'P' license,that mean I will lose my 'P' license.

Is it true?
Is it they will cut my marks and my driving license will be lose?
What should I do?

I cant lose my driving license and I m damn worry on it.

No...the police didn't stop me,thats why I dono police is behind.
After I dashed the first traffic light then I stop at the second traffic light.
And my fren told me that he saw a policeman with uniform stop not far from my car and look at my number plat,then writing something and he leaved.
So he said I will receive letter from police and they will charge on me.
I juz scare of the mark deduction of my driving license and I will lose my license.

I suggest you to go visit this webpage : MYSpeed and then register urself there! After that, u can check whether u have any summons by JPJ/Traffic for your car.

Btw, I think u won't lose ur license since u will only be penalized 5 kejara points! U need at least 10 to make ur license KABOOM!

From what i'ver heard, max fine rm300 will be imposed for this 3 major traffic violation, run red light, overtaking over double line and using handphone while driving. gud luck... hehe

I remember running a red light is RM300.00

run through a red light if not mistaken is bigest fault by merit in P license which mean deduct all of 10 merit you got

they will give u 1st warning.. or perhaps 2 years suspension

2nd time a 4 years suspension

and 3rd time u will never get any license anymore black list even for take a retest

the best way ask the owner of the car to pay the summon on your behalf

and remember dont i mean never run a red light if u dont lose ur license ull lose ur life

TS gonna lose a few demerit points. license wont be suspended so easily.

maybe TS can try harder and hit a traffic policeman to see whether it "works" or not.

No lah nothing will happen, summon will be issued to the person the car is registered to, meaning your mum or dad, then they have an option to go to the police station and give the details of the driver at the time of the offence, you, or they can just pay the summons.

Unless they stopped you and took your details down including your licence then you can wait for demerit points.

Hi there, almost same problem so i didn't see a need for new thread.

My situation is slightly worse. The PDRM dude wrote a saman for the same offence (which both of us signed; 11/12/2009). Problem is my Lesen P is expiring on 07/01/2010, but the court date was put down on Jan 6th. I didn't want to pay yet cuz i read somewhere that if you pay up then it'll alert the KEJARA system, that's 10 points=lesen P revoked.

I need help.

1) Can I convert my Lesen P to Competent licence before the expiry date? (like at least a week or two...very takut wan la...)

2) Will the KEJARA system automatically be updated and my licence revoked the moment i pay up the saman?

Running over a red light is a serious offence. Settle it as soon as possible before the authority haul one's ass to the court, and don't wait for discount, because they don't and will never have.
