Do enjoy your whole orientation. It's going to be a memorable one. Serious. Till today we'll be talking how the orietntation. Though it might be tiring. But the Pembantu Mahasiswa will be even more tired!
I was a Pembantu Mahasiswa. I would prefer you do not know much la. Then u'll be "oh that. aiya i know adi they sure to be like that"
Just open ur heart and accept whatever stuffs they do. It may be stupid, funny, boring, fun. U name it lo....

Once you are in UM for orientation, u are forbid to go out unless with the permission of your Pembantu Mahasiswa. You'll need to stay for the whole week for registeration. Its time for you to be independant!

hey, do we nid to bring the whole file of X-ray film to UM ??

Obviously we have to bring right?
Otherwise why on earth we waste our money doing medical checkup? :/

Do we need to bring all of our original documents and certs to UM?

Or we just have to bring the sogt copy will do?

do we nid to bring along SPM certs and koku certs as well?

Heheheh...well actually i was expecting an answer like...

We came to UM dragging hordes of luggages and what nots...i saw a guy even bringing a supermarket trolley filled wit his luggage....

Then we went to ________ ... to lapor diri.

For lapor diri....what u do is u________________________________...

Then we were assigned to our hostel so that we can put our items_____________________________________...

then it was lunch break at the auditorium where our facilitators introduced themselves and did masculine poses ala Mr. universe competition style as the crowd went wild..

then ___________________________________________________________....

i also saw lots of future students were hugging and kissing their parents goodbye...and some where wailing and sobbing hysterically.

Also there were couples snogging goodbye too.

then from afternoon to night(?)...

then i went back to my room, and my roomate happened to be my mom's best friend so, which actually sucks big time coz then my mom will be able to gauge what bad and good things ive been doing in uni.

Don't forget the 16 keping gambar ukuran passport too!

oh god! Good shoes are so expensive! i went to jusco hoping there was sale...but nuuuuuu~! anybody know a good shoe shop in Kl which are currently on discount? if not i'll just have to buy a tesco shoe that cost rm20 or so.

i have only one pair of sandals and sport shoe...scared we have to wade through muddy terains...and dive into lakes and ponds...brr!

ya! thanks for the glue! and maybe stapler....and tape...and even your whole room! Gwd...i'll miss my room...my desktop...tv...our holidays are spent up already!

Maybe a pail to wash ur clothes? or mandi ala cebuk? (the noisy sloshy type bathe in case the showers are packed...)

Me? KL! UM is 30 mins drive from my home...nyohohohoho!
(I actually wanted USM real bad...most of my relatives are living in penang mah! And i LOVE penang food...T.T)

but UM is just fine!

heels?! Wow! maybe we need to gauge how big UM is before we can SAFELY use heels....prepare for lots of pain..alot of pain...muahahahah!

but five shoes is reasonable..especially when we are far far away from home....

I can safely say the difference between KL and penang is purely the roads...Penang's congested, and narrow, while KL roads are wide...big...and dangerous!

And...you wont be able to find good authentic, cheap penang char kuey teow in KL! Usually they are wet...oily...and not cooked long enough. Cis!

Of course skyscrapers in Kl and historical buildings in Penang is another obvious difference too! but tats another story.

Being a PM before, seeing those freshies without passport photos la, IC photocopied la, No certs, No surat tawaran...
Ish ish... wanna bash them up.. Make us sleep so late to photocopy those stuffs, sign those stuffs and send them to take their handsome pics...

cher do you know how's 8th RC?

been there once. not into the rooms.
the canteen hall looks big but bit run down. not sure about the rooms.
But somehow friends that stayed there before doesn't like it and chose to move out the next yr.

Unlike 5th and 12th, the competition is tough. I'm not sure about others. Coz this is the two RC that i'm familiar with

That's like the best RC in UM la... u should be so happy for that. I'm staying in 5th RC.

Good place. No complains. But as usual, some of rooms gets run down coz of previous students that doesn't take care well.
But overall.. u should be happy

do we need to bring photostated copies of parent's payment slip also ?
cause i only photostated the income tax slip only.... scared no time to certify if photostate tomorrow

Why you guys need to photostat your parent's slip, birth cert and all? My dad said no need leh. Is it because you guys are taking PTPTN?

Better prepare everything to avoid future complication. I still remember I asked a bunch of questions here too last year before entering UM.

i bring 2 bags of books(include document, reference books,dict,etc)..a luggage of clothes, 1 bag of daily necessity(use one),1 bag of food(include fruits,biscuites), and of course slippers and sport shoes.

there r so many stuffs to carry..=(
