I have shortlisted these 3 models:

Samsung P2350, Samsung 2494HS & Viewsonic VX2433wm

Any opinion on these models? I heard good things for the Viewsonic. But then, Samsung's design is better. And I'm inclining towards P2350.

Any other model you guys want to recommend?

Exactly the reason I gave up looking for AOC Angelo. The stock availability is very low. I asked a few sellers and all gave the same answer.

Some even said the price will be up in the next batch. So that got me thinking to consider a more branded LCD.

About the response time, it might be negligible to the naked eye. But I read Samsung P2350 review and the 2ms really makes a difference.

cyew86,

Any other reason despite the Angelo being priced under RM700 that makes you want to wait for it?

It did win the Reddot award but I think that's just because of the design. Have you looked into Samsung P2350? I'm seriously considering it.

I'm planning to get new LCD within this coming week.

Yup, a seller approached me and recommended Acer HS233H also. It's cheaper than the options I have now. But I don't fancy Acer.

From viewnet's pricelist the P2350 is going for RM739. The price is almost firm. But I'll look around LYP this coming Tuesday hopefully.

Here are some reviews for the P2350:

@cyew86,

I'll be stopping by LYP tomorrow. Since we are targeting the same range of LCD, would you please list out the ones you've shortlisted?

That's like everything I'm looking at also.

Will let you know which one I'll pick.

BTW, there's someone selling Samsung P2350 @ Garage sales. You might want to give it a look. I know I did =P

@ Dreamworks

How is the IQ of Angelo?

@ cyew86

Same here also since only Samsung have some decent reviews. I am eyeing P2350 since it have 2ms response time. I don't care that people will say you won't notice the 3ms faster. The review showed it and I love the feeling that I am getting 2ms response from my lcd. Haha.

Btw have you ever considered ASUS VH242H?

Ya LG seems like a feasible choice...but the design is like old Samsung's design ahaha.

I've been going through pricelists and found 2 more alternatives. The ASUS as I've mentioned above and also BenQ's G2410HD.

I play fast paced games and just by knowing I'm getting fast response time is mind pleasing ahaha.

I am running my game @ 200+ FPS but I doubt the refresh rate can keep up with it.

It all comes down to the feeling that you are getting 2ms response time from Your LCD.

Hey hey...

Just got back from KL...and I got myself a ..................

Viewsonic VX2433wm.

I compared it with Samsung P2350 and the color it produces are better. P2350 is a bit gloomy. Now I'm trying to setup the optimal settings.

Oh ya, I bought it for RM685 @ Sri Comp. The cheapest I can find.

@ TwoThirdsMajority

I'd say you can never go wrong with Viewsonic VX2433wm.

It has everything you would need. Price is also quite a bargain for a 23.6"-er.

I went to evaluate some LCDs yesterday and found out that oddly Viewsonic is better than Samsung P2350.

@JasonJenn

There's a member here who posted about P2450. I think he doesn't recommend the monitor.

@cyew86

Only HDMI cable is not included. Others are complete.
Text is fine. No problem at all. As for color, it is perfect so far. Very vivid.
I have yet to optimize the settings but it is wonderful for now.
