The other problem is you can't see the live demo and comparison on the spot as well.

i wanna go ahead n get 50000:1 n i prefer if i get 2ms response time as compared to 5ms.... also i prefer 23" to a 21.5"

now what i am asking is if this 50000:1 n 2ms makes a lot of difference as compared to the other .... and what about the size difference ? does that also make a high difference ?

the other main thing is the hdmi...  2buy or not 2buy is the question..
i dont even know whats the main purpose of it ...
i dont have a ps. i have xboz n wii at home but they are not mine.

my purpose of getting monitor is for my new pc... so is hdmi necessary cuz as far as i know pc connects to the normal old fashion slot.
unless ofcourse i can connect to pc using an hdmi cable and it really makes a diference to the video quality

also which company... aoc, acer, lg, samsung..... if there is one that i should not buy cuz its a bad company then let me know

thanks

As i have explained earlier 2ms and 5ms is of no different at all cause your LCD only update at 59hz/60hz. And 2 ms in lcd is always bullshit, they use overdrive (cheating) to achieve this.

32" is of cause the better than 21.5". Having HDMI is a plus cause who know you might get a X360/PS3 in near future. I'm a happy Samsung 2494HS user now connected to PS3 via HDMI and DVI to PC.

Not really.... there are at least 2 TN panels monitors (like, Samsung 2233RZ) that goes to true 120Hz refresh rates.... thus requiring DL-DVI bandwidth.

b.t.w. a true 120Hz panel only requires a full pixel response of only 8.33 ms. A 5ms GtG panel may be still too slow for a true 120Hz panel (Full pixel response, BTWTB, may exceed 8.33ms).
*
Basically, 2ms you need 500hz refresh rate screen. 5ms required 200hz. So, do you think 120hz is fast enough to show the different? Think again.
When buying LCD, what you should be aware of is it's display lag/delay not respond time. As long as it is anything above 8ms, there shouldn't be any different.

GTG rating being adverstised does not correlate with refresh rate that way.

2ms or 5ms GTG hardly qualifies for a full pixel twist and back (which is roughly 2x the GTG rating).. Only TN with 2ms GTG (and roughly @ 5ms BTWTB) is sufficiently fast enough for a true 120Hz, a requirement for nvidia's 3d in which each eye is blocked  60 x/s (60Hz) intermittently.

A 5ms GTG panel with roughly 10ms BTWTB full pixel twisting is not fast enough at 120Hz.

Delay ... it is the time required for the monitor to process the signal before output... say compared to a CRT.

Both CRTs and LCDs have delays.. but even the best quality LCD may have an average 20 to 30ms longer delay than CRTs. The fastest panels (without much processing) may have an average delay in the teens ms (exp: 10 to 15ms), at times the delay is even at 0ms.
*
So, at the end with 120hz lcd, you shouldn't notice any differences between 2ms and 5ms, less say about 59/60hz panel.
Thats my point.
