After weeks of contemplation, i've finally decided to get the Samsung P2450H... bought at Sri Computer for RM980 inclusive of HDMI Cable..

Still getting use to the size and width of the monitor..

Wanted to post pictures but don't know how.. can somebody teach me.. noobie here..

look for nathan at sri.. he's the best salesmen.. wanted to buy at viewnet (RM945) but the salesman gave me CB look so i went sri to check out (rm960).. Nathan opened the box and together we check for dead pixels on the spot.. on top of that he say 1 to 1 change for even 1 dead pixel within 7 days (as stated in the warranty card) unlike viewnet salesman who refuse to give me that same assurance(he says only replace when there's 7 dead pixel no one to one change within 7 days). very happy with nathan salesmanship..

i just bought HDMI cable for rm 20 as its a digital signal thus the quality wont be affected by the quality of the cable as long it sufficiently sheilded(i read this from one of the forums in this website).. i plugged my speakers into my P2450h and it sound good..

So far good.. only thing its huge and when u sit close to it yr eye get strain as the monitor default setting is too bright.. once i change to text setting using magic bright its much better. but for movie or game i use different pre-set setting via Magic Bright.. i've tried playing transformers 1080p and its looks awesome..the detail level is very good.. need to sit bit back to watch cause too wide .. wanna post some pic but failed as the picture size is too big will try again when i'm free later.

for samsung LCD, its in the box itself make sure u get the dealer stamp before u leave.. must submit back to samsung within 7days

No idea, have ask others.. I only own a samsung LCD..

HP is about 1.2k and my budget was rm 900++ nevertheless the size of the casing doesn't really bother me as long the screen size is 24"... initially i wanted to buy LG but they made me wait too long dy and i got fed up and my bro is gettting a 24 inch soon so i recommeded LG to him i i let him buy 1st... Anyway it was an impulse buy as i bought it last friday night just before raya.. i thought since it's a long weekend and i gonna spend time at home playing dota and watchin movie with my GF, i just bought it.. after reading the review above, i realised that Samsung was quite good. so no regrets now.. LG its yr loss for taking f**kin long time to come out with a 24".. let me know that what LCD you finally purchased... sorry bro..

both HP and Samsung has the same width in terms of screen size (24" diagonall).. maybe samsung look slimmer coz its black and that it has smaller casing and shorter stand...

Viewsonic is 23.6 not a pure 24", and since budget is not a concern at the moment, u can also check out Samsung P2450 or LG w2453v (both well known leaders in LCD manufacturing, see wikipedia).. or if u want u can get a 24" IPS panel from DELL around RM1599.. If u really want even bigger u can go for ASUS VK266H (25.5" going for RM1349 with built in speakers)

I suggets u read online reviews of all the abovesaid LCD before making a decision.

Most of the LCD are on display side by side at Thundermatch and ALLIT at Lowyat.. Built in speakers generally sucks (read previous posts) it is better u use your own speakers and connect it to the LCD sound output..Cheers!

i bought one last week u can read the reviews in the previous posts... i wanted to post pic but size too big need to scale it down, will post them once i scale it down..

I bought my P2450 2 weeks ago, u can read the reviews i've posted in this post.. just go backwards couple of weeks (just after raya)..Magicbright is just different custom brightness setting for different purpose.. hope it helps u make a decision.. only 2 downside i can think of 1. the default setting too bright u need to tweek it with Magic Bright (if not u go blind fast =p) and 2nd its not cheap... my 2 sen advice is when u go to see a monitor on display most of the time it has not been tweeked to its optimal setting with all its drivers installed.. can see the difference with the ones i see on display and the one i own.. best it to read proper online/magazine reviews by experts.. Cheers!

Magic Bright is found on the manual touchscreen setting, its a bit complicated to set via manual touch screen (can't help it if your using PS3).. however once you install its driver on your pc, it will be much easier to set it...
