By the way, there's also one thing I didn't like with my AOC... It comes with an external AC-to-DC converter, Dell ady have these kinda things build into the monitor itself Added on September 7, 2009, 8:56 pmQUOTE(cyew86 @ Sep 7 2009, 08:51 PM) -5~20°Tilt, USB, 110 mm Height Adjustment, Pivot, Swivel 170/170 http://www.aoc-europe.com/en/monitors/tft/24_2436Pwa.phpit's 2436PWa and not VW Manufactures and their naming schemes... Ish... So confusing And uh, the Color Boost feature is useless too, makes everything look overly vivid and artificial. This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Sep 7 2009, 08:56 PM

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Sep 7 2009, 09:07 PM) @ Dreamworks How is the IQ of Angelo? @ cyew86 Same here also since only Samsung have some decent reviews. I am eyeing P2350 since it have 2ms response time. I don't care that people will say you won't notice the 3ms faster. The review showed it and I love the feeling that I am getting 2ms response from my lcd. Haha. Btw have you ever considered ASUS VH242H? I have the Angelo for about a month now and no complains/problems thus far, it's a value buy Out of all the models on display in the shop I visited, they look more or less the same to me except for the ones with glossy screen or LED back light, which have clearly better IQ. You know, sometimes it's really not much use just reading reviews (Diff ppl diff preference) or looking at pics (Some cams do not capture the "real" colours, and your monitor might not display the colours of the unit itself) online, go to a shop with the model you're eying and judge for yourselves. 5ms and 2ms is really not noticeable la Unless you have really good eyesight... Hehe... This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Sep 7 2009, 09:27 PM

QUOTE(our_team89 @ Sep 9 2009, 05:22 PM) if compare to acer h233h,do u think this is better or on par? The X233 and H233H have decent colours, but the H233H looks more vibrant because of its glossy screen. I don't fancy X233's design though, looks kinda like the head of an airplane Added on September 9, 2009, 10:02 pmQUOTE(andriel @ Sep 9 2009, 07:19 PM) Icic, thanks. The selection in Penang Island is rather limited, maybe I will go over there when I m free If you're looking for Angelo, the shop is out of stock as well and has been like this for about a month now. But I do see a new Acer model on display, along with other brands. This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Sep 9 2009, 10:02 PM

QUOTE(JasonJenn @ Sep 25 2009, 12:03 PM) Hey, you are good at hunting reviews! I was searching high and low last time for a review of the Angelo but couldn't come up with one. Nevertheless, I still bought the AOC anyway There is minor mistranslation of the review's title by Google though, so for those who couldn't read Chinese... Title (In Chinese): 比苹果更华丽 AOC天使液晶显示器2434Pw首测 Translation by Google: Apple is more beautiful than the angels AOC LCD 2434Pw the first test Actual meaning: More gorgeous/magnificient/elegant than an apple - A review of the AOC Angelo LCD Monitor 2434Pw It is actually quite hard to find a proper representation of 华丽 in English, but you get the idea. And the review of the AOC Angelo turns out to be very positive This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Sep 25 2009, 07:55 PM

Hmm... I think I wanna do a retest on my AOC as well and see whether there are such issues or not If there's excess time, I might also take pics of a full HD demo video used for Samsung's LED series LCD TVs Color Boost makes everything look artificial, and the settings for Picture Boost does nothing unless you enable it. Picture Boost is kinda like Color Boost, only difference is you can configure which part of the screen will be "boosted" so to speak.

Well, maybe your room is too dark Setting the Contrast too low will sacrifice details, especially the tiny tiny ones. This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Oct 11 2009, 09:41 PM

Dell S2409W has the biggest screen of the four, but there is an audio lag issue for HDMI connection (Not sure if it's still present or not) which might be annoying for some people. Dell has it on sale for RM689, I assume it was a clearance sale because I just checked again and it's no longer available, same case as the S2309W, both have been replaced by the newer ST series Acer H233H on the other hand is just 23", which is smaller than the Dell and AOC, but having a gloss finish screen means its colours will look more vibrant, at the same time more prone to reflections. As for the AOC, bleeding issue, but in my opinion it's negligible as I can't notice the effect unless I purposely do a test. And I guess bleeding is also settings dependent, the brighter the screen, the more obvious the effect. This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Oct 14 2009, 08:10 PM
