Vely green is when going upwards really fast above 20 pts. Now Dow futures is +33.  Geeez. So far, I've not seen Dow up more than +80 pts, but have only seen Dow futures at -100 plus. So for me vely green is 20pts above and moving up. Don't care buy only is +40 and above. Very red is -20pts and more. Cabut lari red is -60 and above.

Ok....Thanks....I also track this on CNN but then cannot decipher if the number means run away, stand still, no eye see, party whole night... wub.gif

Hahaha of course you need to take into account crude oil prices and so on as well. Thats why I like the CNBC page the most, can see all in one, even with 15 minutes delay. Now am tempted to finally subscribe to Astro, so I can turn on business news and see real time on the tv as well. But afraid I end up watching AFC instead. smile.gifsmile.gif

OoOOh.....I tell you, its terrible terrible! shocking.gif
Once 930pm comes, i watch show, flip back to CNBC, watch show, flip back to CNBC, keep repeating this cycle....
I am a slave now to CNBC....Wake up in the middle of the night, wonder how US market go, get up, go watch CNBC....
Get ready for work, turn on to CNBC....

rclxub.gif

Though maybe tonight I should buy NBC shares if drop...haha biggrin.gif

As I write this, NYMEX Oil is $67/barrel, up from $66.xx this morning.

Europe (DAX, CAC, FTSE) are green and not suffering as the Asia bourses did.

NYSE futures are green with DJ +29.

Here is what is expected on US Tuesday.

Tuesday: May existing home sales is due out before the start of trade from the Census Bureau. Sales are expected to have risen to a 4.83 million unit annual rate.
Tuesday also brings a report on mass layoffs from the Labor Department. Mass layoffs refers to the number of layoff announcements involving at least 50 workers.
Oracle reports earnings after the close. It's expected to have earned 44 cents per share after earnings 47 cents a year ago.

GOOD LUCK MR JONES!

Hahaha, I actually prefer Gordon Ramsay. Cos his recipes are excellent! Try cooking some, the food does come out excellent! And his F word recipes are made for normal ppl. Easy cooking, easy to find ingredients. Excellente! (I also love how he makes other chefs cry, but thats beside the point  tongue.gif )

Jamie is cool, but lately he's been going on these fresh fresh from garden, special veggies stuff, cannot follow la. Minestrone soup oso use until 12 different veggies. Aiyo. Just stressed thinking about getting all those ingredients. LOL.

Too make this slightly out of topic, do you think its possible if GR lists his restaurant in LondonEx? I don't mind buying those stocks man. Maybe AGM can be held in his retaurants and we can eat for free!!!!
*
Agreed! Agreed!....Gordon Ramsay is one of few chefs in the world with 3 Michelin stars for his restaurant at any one time, with a total of 16! shocking.gif
Ok...now i quickly hide....Later moderator come ban me..... blush.gif

@vyverns : although i must say the dividend is peanuts. ~1% dividend yield.
*
Ah....That is true....It gives about 8-12 sen per year dividends. And at the current price is less than attractive.

However, if you had been a long term holder of this stock since it was a real baby in 2001/2002 time you would find it still an acceptable returns.

Actually, Dow close at -16.10 (-0.07%), Nas -1.27 (0.07%).  Good earnings numbers from Oracle could lift Nasdaq up a little.

Other than that, I would consider this a flat day - no gains, no loss, no bloodshed.  smile.gif

Oil is actually still green as of EST 4:01pm, 68.54 (Oil trades into extended hours at NYMEX).
Oil has gained 2.89% from yesterday 67.06 around the same time.

Tomorrow will be critical as US Feds continues their meeting on monetary policy and also Oil Inventory report will be out tomorrow.

Btw, I believe Bernanke should stay in job. Hopefully, Obama won't fire him.
*
Oracle was down on the day, but up after hours in trade. Sad, I missed the opportunity to get into BAC again today. Waiting for 11.xx but it was just a moment of 11.94 before keeping above 12. sad.gif

Oil's up and everyone waiting for Feds report tomorrow. Boeing, which is a DOW component, dragged on the index due to a delay in Dreamliner introduction (their new plane). Boeing dropped 6% or $3. Boeing is still down on after hours. I think apart from that, the index should have ended green. smile.gif

You may want to check YTL Power dividend and share price appreciation. Also look at their cash in hand. This company classified good fundamental for holding. smile.gif
