It seems geohot has made some breakthrough regarding 3G[S] jailbreak. I strongly advice the current 3G[S] users who are looking to jailbreak or unlock their devices, go do a usb dump of your images ASAP. I mean NOW!. The reason is, the images of the 3G[S] are now signed by Apple server so if Apple patched the 3G[S] exploit in the 3.0 firmware with an upgrade (i.e. 3.0.1) then it will be too late for you. For future 3G[S] owner, you should go get it ASAP to have a better chance in future jailbreaking/unlocking of your device (no guarantee though).so the answer is. No, for the time being~~
P.S. don't ask me how to do usb dump, google is your friend and the sifu's here may be able to help you
