There's missing GPS as well. If embedded with 3G do you think will cost "alot" more? Nowadays 3G has become a must have in phone IMHO.

Opss.. sorry. As GPS is not so important feature for me, I miss that point.

I wonder why for a good phone like this is lack of 3G?

this we called marketing, no 3g its ok for me, but no a-gps really let me down.. i use gps more than 3g..

Nokia 5130 juz barely Rm400++ , u can get Rm410 frm Asus(seller)...NOkia 5530 roughly Rm700-Rm800 ...2x of 5130 ler .....

i didn't use 3g so i don't need 3g. i would like to buy this stuff for me brother. hopefully it's price will be cheap. around RM800 is acceptable.
and that kinetic scrolling, i like it!

I know... price is ok but my phone spoilt and urgent wanna buy a phone coz I'm borrowing my sister's phone....
thought wanna buy 5130XM for my birthday and this phone havent out so dunno wanna buy a budget phone 1st to wait this phone out or buy 5130XM...

yeah agree. i dun really like the "tube" shape.

Initial Impressions of the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

I have to say, the build quality is sturdier than 5800XM and the screen is more vivid + kinetic scrolling which makes it a cheap(hopefully) and cheerful phone to own , as long as you can live without 3G and A-GPS.

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Prototype (Malaysia)














Key Features Noted:

1) Enhanced homescreen (contacts bar + applications/widget shortcut)
2) Kinetic Scrolling (which is only available for web browsing, home screen and contacts scrolling)
3) Has everything the Nokia 5800 have to offer except 3G and GPS.
4) The built quality is not as sturdy as the Nokia 5800. It is even more plasticky than the Nokia 5800 especially the back cover. It is however much slimmer in form factor.
5) Rear camera does not have any 'scratch protection' when placed flat on the table. In fact the prototype had many scratches in it.
6) Screen more vibrant in colours compared to Nokia 5800. Apparently there are more pixel count on the screen.

Ive never used a-gps, and seen it been used but found no usefullness for it generally.
And 3g, well unless you are into subscribing into an expensive data package or vid calls, it is not necessary.
Most places are Wi-fi-ed these days anyway.

lol, you didn't test it's camera? i wanna see those screens.
but im definitely gonna get these stuff.

the camera is same quality as the Nokia 5800 but when taking photos, the screen will show more vibrant colour. however, it is said that when transfered to PC the quality you get is still the same. but of course thats not confirmed 100% yet. have to wait for the final say.

hopefully come out very soon with a nice price.
