EP1 AF test after firmware update

C-AF if very useful in tracking moving object. I try this after the firmware upgrade. I use the EP1 with 50-200 lens and shoot at 200mm at a running kids.. the result is good. everyone should read the manual on when to use Saf and when to use Caf. otherwise will end up complaining oh i cant get this shot..or tat shot..

and remember 200mm is like 400mm in FF equivalent and i shoot it without monopod..just handheld from my apartment which is 6 storey high through the window.

ok wait till weekend first hmm which lens should i test it on? 12-60 f2.8?

EP2 is not fictional..it is real..be ready for it

GF1 cannot autofocus all 4/3 lens..that why is not in my wish list...and EP2 yet to see real improvement in IQ..to me the VF and flash is not and issue..cause when i need one i can use either my E3 or LX3

40-150 optic is superb for its price..and very small too

This 21 Nov Olympus got PEN gathering...muhahaa suspect is the anouncement of EP2!!!!

on the contrary i am happy with olympus announcement..not with the body but the lens!! 14-150 and 9-18 is my dream lens on m43!!

2 of my coll grab the gf1 already..so damn fast..

I prefer EP1/2 over GF1 due to the compatibility with Oly 4/3 lens and the IS

but slow AF issue ? well i dont use it for sport or action..so ok ..

yup AF - no magical improvement...

but the AF is good for most type of shots..go try it out

or better still shoot HD video and screen shot from it. it will still be HD photo!!

GF1 is like cheating..before u press anything the camera already pre focus. the moment u click the shutter button that why u feel faster..

EP1 /2 will not trigger AF unless u press the shutter that why slower.

anyway the so call slowness can be ignore. pre focus is the key to get any good shot..maybe if got chance i will show shoot f1 or japan gt using ep1

no la i have not taken it to f1 yet.. plan to do it in future..
