50-200SWD is overkill

12-60 SWD is yummy... how much it cost?
If I get this, I can sell off the Kit Lens

QUOTE(Kven148 @ Apr 4 2010, 10:43 PM)
thanks a bunch guys

which mall should go?

BB plaza? Sungei wang? Lowyat? Times Square? Midvalley?
*
BB Plaza foto edar is runned by one of our forumer here
Sungai Wang Boeing is well known for good bargain
Midvalley Fotoflash's price is not bad, slightly higher than the Bintang Walks' malls. But you could save from the terrible jam & high parking fees.
Lowyat.... last I went, many no E-PL1 stock in hand
TimeSquare.... same case as Lowyat

If you got the time, do walk around BB Plaza, Sungai Wang, Lowyat & Timesquare. They r just next to each other.
But then again, the MYR10 u save from one shop compared to another may not worth the energy and time you spent running between the shops.
hahaha It's a catch 22 situation.

Just rule of thumb, E-PL1 with 14-42mm Kit Lens should be 2300 and below. If you exclude the "free" memory cards, price should be 2200 and below.
Pana 20mm f1.7 price should be able to get less than 1500, depending on stock availability. It's kinda "hot" item now.
The prices I put above are only applicable for CASH term. Some shops charge 2% for 1 time cc swipe, 5% for installment.

I'll vote for merging. Since the lenses can be shared between brands and between model (with adaptors if required).

It would be good if we can get a larger "member" pool to share knowledge & experiences.

Why u sell and buy back ? sweat.gif

I already stated the reasons:

1. Under utilized.
2. Too big and heavy to my liking.
3. Think will go for Lumix G 45-200mm.

Maybe is better on Olympus E-Px with IS on it compared to GF1. hmm.gif

Guys, I am having a difficulties in shooting night photograpy, as the pictures are always OOF (out of focus). While at the same time, my PNS can do it better where the picture is sharp.

This is with E-PL1

While this is with my LX3

And this is with my Ricoh GX100

All the pictures can be seen at my flickr page.

I guess I need to beam the tree with torchlight 1st?

R u relying on the AF?
Try take picture on the same subject with different camera, it's easier to compare that way.

The challenge would be how are you going to take pictures of fireflies in Kuala Selangor?
1. Picture out of focus?
2. Can not shine torch light to the fireflies to focus.

Went to PC fair today.
Olympus having a bargain there! With lots of freebies.
The displayed price is the SRP, not sure after negotiation, but there are really many freebies which I think is really worth it.
Go PC fair and have a look if you intend to get a PEN.
There are few booth selling Olympus cameras, go to the biggest booth, somewhere in the middle of the exhibition hall.

For panasonic, I'm sorry, coz I didn't bother to check out Panasonic counter.

Btw, finally got my Lowepro Passport Sling
MYR220 at Pertama Complex smile.gif
Not a grey import, but from local distributor.

Would like to ask the others especially E-PL1 users.

Which quality settings are you guys using? I tried LF, LN and MF. Currently I'm using MF since I don't need big images. Can save up on space and get finer quality pictures.
