QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 16 2009, 04:27 PM) Yes....the big different is in the bigger aperture f/1.7 and its super sharp.... everyone actually want to buy gf1+20mm f/1.7... hard to get it... but how much will it cost if available? Added on October 16, 2009, 5:02 pmQUOTE(dcsuave05 @ Oct 16 2009, 04:34 PM) Oly 17mm is a f2.8 lense 20mm is a Panasonic and a f1.7 aperture. Both are pancake lenses and sharp too. But 1.7 is great for low light!! Anyone knows what's the selling price in Malaysia? u can try to surf the web stated above..inside got the price..or u can surf the olympus website..it got retail price also..about rm1k+ This post has been edited by Hico: Oct 16 2009, 05:02 PM

QUOTE(ae8za @ Oct 16 2009, 06:16 PM) Really love the result of the Panasonic 20 f/1.7 with the PEN. It's miles better than the 17 f/2.8. Too bad the design clashes with the PEN's retro style. Looks damn ugly like a big black mole. Sigh, still looking for my 17mm and viewfinder... how much did you get ur panasonic 20?? why u still wan look for 17mm?? can show me some photos shoot by panasonic 20?? really wan to compare with 17mm ..

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 18 2009, 08:52 AM) Which one you bought? I already try ebay last time but all need to buy from overseas. I prefer to get from local shop. At first I want to get from jinfinance. But later, I saw some cheaper one. I see that the cheaper don't have aperture ring on the adapter itself compare to jinfinance one. So from which seller you bought it from? wow luckily u remind me..if not i really will order the adapter which is cheaper one oledi. is that mean if those adapter without the ring, we have to buy seperately? wats the use for the aperture ring?

when i try to find adapter, i found out the description as below: "The adapter is brand new , manufactured with brass copper and anodized with chromium, built like a tank! ensure silky smooth operation of your lens and camera. Don't buy those aluminum adapters , they are poor quality! low precision! aluminum is so soft, not durable, when time pass by, your adapter will lose precision soon, you can not get sharp pictures! " too bad cant find any come with aperture ring yet..

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 18 2009, 11:24 PM) http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-FD-lens-to-Panas...#ht_3271wt_1166This come with aperture ring... you read the link...it said: Go ahead. A lot of good review with GF1. Its the best and smallest. The AF performance almost same like dSLR... good luck in getting it though. I see people having problem getting it with 20mm f/1.7 lens... (don't get the other kit lens...its not as good as 20mm f/1.7) this adapter is made of aluminium.. i mean the copper like he mentioned which is stronger and lasting than aluminium cannot deny GF1 is nice..but lack of in body stabilization which i think is important for me to use any other lens which does not have lens-based stabilization. so i will still stick with olympus! i found that this web is kinda informative which comparing both camera and can be reference. http://www.radiantlite.com/2009/09/olympus...asonic-gf1.htmlThis post has been edited by Hico: Oct 18 2009, 11:32 PM

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 18 2009, 11:30 PM) I personally don't think its that bad to get aluminium..haha... I'm not sure if you now or not. This jinfinance alumium adapter is the most famous third party adapter. If its bad, I don't think people will buy it la... but jinfinance price is very expensive.. below is the one i found which is cheaper and got the aperature ring also http://cgi.ebay.com.my/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 18 2009, 11:44 PM) because famous already mah...so you cannot compare la... people have confidence with jinfinance... u go buy cheap one, later cannot focus infinity...or something not right, u cry la... Added on October 18, 2009, 11:46 pmAlso it is stupid to buy copper one. You know why? Because if you buy copper one, and you give a strong twist, instead of breaking the adapter, you might break the lens or body.... do u want to break lens or body? U tell me la.... I rather break the adapter la...hahaha.... hahaha..true also..buy cheap cheap one then can get few more spare in future.. so are u getting from jinfinance?

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 20 2009, 01:31 PM) I think E-P2 is imminent. GF1 is taking too much sales away from Olympus. So I'm 100% sure E-P2 will be here on 31 October...2009... yeah i also got the feeling they will launch even faster to compete with GF1..or else all the good feedback for GF1 will affect the sales of E-P1 seriously... Added on October 20, 2009, 1:48 pmQUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 19 2009, 03:45 PM) http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1041Everyone is talking about this lens. This lens is the best lens in m43 standard.... its like leica already... cannot think too much abt this..need to save budget to get the body first b4 go into its lens.. hopefully 31/10 faster come! and hope to receive good news abt the new model!
