I would keep the lens. Why?
The seller was up to something
So you got the winning end and the seller is just sitting in his shop calling you
He ask you to return, and you can return
Provided you ask for something back
You must teach him a lesson for his own mistake
Ask him give you big discount or freebies if you come back next time
He will probably trust you and let you play with big toys if you have any
So all I can say, you lose in both situation!
Do you always visit his shop or once in a blue moon, has he ever treat you badly?

talking about myjunk, where is he ? long time didn't see him

i borrowed my friend 1000D and discovered that i can only af by pressing the focus point selection button... i called him and he tell me that he can focus by pressing the shutter halfway, i tried it but still cant.. anyone please help? probably i changed the setting or what?

FYI, when i change it into fully auto, it works.. but not for M,TV,AV,P...

if i`m not wrong, ur creative setting is the cause. Try resetting ur creative settings...

The focus point selection button is the default AF button if you're using Live View.

shouldn't be like that.

i think the custom setting is set to AF with the * button
go to custom setting, Fn IV, see which it is at?
change it back to 0 ?

I cant believe you've returned the lens.
It sounds like the shop is not genuine and honest afterall.

It's really difficult to find a good quality shop nowadays, most of the shops f*** care about our consumer right especially in Msia.
If I were in the same situation in US or Europe, i would seriously consider to return back since their customer service is way better than here.
For malaysia, NO WAY !

when i bought my f4, the uncle also said his salary will be deducted. don't know true or not. but i have no problem to build a good relationship with the uncle. he offered me sigma 70-200 f/2.8 II apo ex dg macro hsm for rm3.5k and d90 body rm3k only.cheapest i've found so far...
