I usually put as gift if sending a few stuff to my friends or overseas customers. If you declare them as merchandise and need to include invoice also especially if it's obvious you're shipping in bulks.

i pernah use e-parcel once.actually it works the same with pos daftar.till now,i still don't know and don't understand what is the different between pos daftar and e-parcel.
*
Pos daftar and e-parcel is actually the same (even though they got different tracking code)...difference is pos daftar is used mostly for documents and small items weighing up to 2kg...if more than 2kg need to use e-parcel. Both are normal post + tracking. Truthfully Pos Malaysia should just use one to stop confusing people...should just abolish e-parcel because no point shakehead.gif

i've a problem with e-parcel delivery. seller sent out the e-parcel on 22 Oct but until today the delivery still in progress.

E-Parcel Tracking result
No.  Proses Date  Proses Time  Post Office  Status
1. 22 October 2010 9:48:54 AM Cheras Makmur PENGEPOSAN DI KAUNTER Cheras Makmur
2. 23 October 2010 12:22:03 PM PosLaju Cheras SEND ITEM TO PDC Sibu

is it normal to take so long time for the delivery?? any other way to track the parcel beside online tracking?? please advice.

i've contact the seller but they started to ignore my email. hai..
*
e-parcel is basically normal parcel mail...so delivery days somewhat unpredictable. You can call Pos Malaysia helpline for inquiries--> 1 300 300 300 or call/ask the post office you sent the parcel.

Duh...You can't expect something as common sense as that for everyone to explain. Either the post office staff forgot about 25th December being a public holiday or they expect you already know that and not have to explain this to you.

cannot.must wrap it with a non-transparent envelope/kertas mahjong/plastic bag.i don't know if your area post office got provide you the plastic bag or not but my place here no provide.so i need to balut with a paper/put it inside envelope and send it
*
You don't need to wrap in any of those...that's applicable if you want to send via pos daftar or normal parcel. If you want to send via poslaju you can just use old newspaper/magazines or even recycle box...just make sure you do a good job of protecting your item. For me the least I do is to wrap my stuff in bubble wraps and ask the poslaju staf to put it inside courier bag. If I have padded envelopes I'll sometimes just put the stuff inside and then send to poslaju staff. If I want extra protection I usually use bubble wraps AND padded envelopes or sturdy boxes. Some poslaju centres sell poslaju boxes but from my experience not all poslaju centres have available stock. It's even hard to find any at post offices. As for plastic courier bags...some poslaju centre have stock and some don't. I don't know why most post offices or poslaju centres seem to run out of courier bags all the time. doh.gif

can stick the fragile sticker.. i think pos office got.. not sure.. but the sticker can be found in stationery shop..tesco got!
*
Usually the poslaju staff will ask what kind of item you're posting? If they deem the stuff fragile they will put the FRAGILE sticker onto your parcel. However for me I will request poslaju to put the FRAGILE sticker even if what I'm posting is not that fragile. I do this incase my parcel get squash during the delivery. smile.gif

For some places tracking can be viewed instantly but there are cases where you have to wait later during the evening for the tracking info to be updated.

Receiver also haven't receive?

Sometimes they don't update .. their tracking system quite lousy ..

Try call Pos Malaysia to ask about it. or u can Email to their customer service. Take Photo of the pos slip and attach to the email. So there's proof that the tracking number is valid.

Normally, they track the same way we track. So if no proof, they will just lazy to check deeply.

Anyway, just know Poslaju got EM tracking code already and 13 number? @.@ Should be new release
*
Yup...the tracking got new one...before it's either EN or ED ....I got one starting with EL... blush.gif

is it true on 22nd of august onward poslaju will not be available until raya?

Not that I heard of...as far as I know they will open except on public holidays so the post office will still continue their operation except 30/08, 31/08 &1/09 but services will be slow during that whole week. How they gonna deliver all the raya cards by end of this month if they closed next week? blush.gif

I sent a parcel to my customer last week on 18/08/11 and by right the parcel should have been delivered on the next day. But till now the parcel is still stuck at PPL Shah Alam...and after two times attempted delivery still not able to deliver to my customer. My customer contacted the poslaju centre and was told that they wasn't able to deliver the first time due to heavy rain. I don't know what reason they give the second time but this is the first case I've come across in such a long time since using poslaju services for over 20years! I know it's fasting month but I do hope they don't make this their excuses for giving poor services and not being able to deliver on time. As a fellow muslim I don't like this and yeah fasting shouldn't be an excuse for one to give poor services sad.gif

Edit:

I made another call to PPL Shah Alam just now and they said the second time they couldn't deliver due to heavy rain as well. Sheesh...why don't they use vans instead when making deliveries if they know it's raining heavily nowadays!? It's is such a ridiculous excuse really!!! vmad.gif
