So far no problem, but some bugs here and there:
Pros: 1) Email received damn fast, received within few second..Good Job!! 2) IM features quite good!! But cant have 2 msn on at the same time(pc) 3) Touch light freaking bright!! 4) Opt Navi not bad, keep using it. 5) Messaging no problem at all, 6) Overall performance very good!! 600Mhz processor really did its job! Cons: 1) Plug in USB, and then uplug it the Battery still show charging 2) Sometimes open email, ovi, do a lot of stuff then suddenly hang for 2-3 second then phone reboot.... 3) Bluetooth transfer, sometime connection lost...(maybe file too large) 4) Garmin issue....hang... Thats all, some i forgot..anything to add? |

Ok, I just went to nokia care centre this afternoon. My problem are:
1) My casing at bottom losse or something, so I tell them and they get it fixed. 2) The light leakage issue on the keypad, they fixed but still can see some little light on both side(left, right) and under home key, but its better than before la, they keypad much tighten than before. So u guys better hurry and go change now! |

Run your web(U will see Recently visited pages...) 2.click options(left button), go to setting, then select General 3. now u see the Access point is pointing to ur Internet/WAP, so choose the option that suit ur needs. The best option is always ask. But for some people its a bit annoying coz it will ask everytime u try to connect.. |

QUOTE(dr_tanu007 @ Dec 29 2009, 10:27 AM) THANKS for the quick reply desmand for how long u hve the phone.?? ... as u have said most of my queries are not true... and the most irritating problems r not the most prominent ones...!!!thanks.... for the first time i think i am convienced...going to get my baby 2day. I got it for few weeks already. And yes most of the little tiny problem should be able to solve in the next firmware release. Not big deal actually.cause I Doubt NOK would do smetng about the built quality.. e71light leaks were still there after a year and half of production.. IMHO nok would keep the thing as it is...any inputs dear desmand and my fellow members... thanking you. As I mention earlier, the light leakage behind the keypad and the back cover can be fix at NCC. Lets hear my story(As long as u r Ori, go get it fix): Me : Hi, can you fix my light leakage problem behind my keypad? Its very obvious, really really tak cantik la. NCC Staff: Tunggu ya, I go ask Technician see whether can fix it or not. Wait 2 minutes... NCC Staff: Ok, technician kata boleh fix. U letak sini dua jam la. Lepas tu datang balik ambik. Me : Good, thank you so much. Print receipt....blah blah blah.... So after repair, yeah the light leakage still there but not than obvious la..better than before. And for sly77, The noise cancellation default setup is ON, u can check it at Control Panel, setting, phone, then Call. Garmin still got issue, so be patient.... |

QUOTE(jackyap84 @ Jan 9 2010, 10:53 AM) U mentioned that, your garmin is working fine, is ur garmin running in 3D navigation? Helo everybody, I received a lot of PM after my post Added on January 9, 2010, 10:54 am hi desmond, great to hear that. mind to share v us how u do it and perhap step by step guidance and source file to be downloaded. thanks. The URL link is HERE. Get urself register in this forum, coz its one of the largest mobile phone forum for Symbian and others Steps: Just download it, SIGN it urself and install. Now you can use the Drive to(navigation for FREE!!, no more 10 times FREE navigation) Its bit funny using Ovi Maps, the voice guidance will say "Turn Slightly Right/left", and the most funniest is "Immediate turn right"?? HAHAHA....so becareful when using this, focus on ur drive and don't blindly follow the voice guidance ya!! |

QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Jan 9 2010, 07:35 PM) No, everything offline. The map already DL to our phone. It'll prompt u if need to online. My comments for Ovi Maps Vs Garmin XT: 1) Navigation Detail info: Ovi Maps - Overall the best, show info like: - Driving Speed(very accurate, not like garmin.) - Distance to your destination(very accurate) - Voice Guidance, no U-Turns in ovi maps, wonder why? Always turn right then immediately turn right. I'm ok with it. - The navigation very accurate so far, before reach round-about will show you which exit, and how many km. - 3D & 2D & Detail Route Map can be view anytime, just scroll left or right. - Search of address better than garmin, and can't pint point to your location, just said you have reach your destination, unlike garmin. - When not following the navigation route, immediately reroute, this is really fast than garmin!! - Routing option not as good as Garmin, coz Garmin have better routing option. Garmin XT - Response slow. - Reach the junction already but still showing before the junction, late response. I recommend to keep both GPS, just in case u cant find the address in one of them, try another. |

QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Jan 10 2010, 12:09 AM) U need to sign them in order use.. u need a cert signer .. To use cert signer u need a cert and key obtained specially for ur phone imei. No. Yup, offline will works just like garmin. I'm on Digi unlimited plan too. Desmand: I used ovi map jus now.. Used up bout 786kb jus to navigate from upm to mines.. Hehe.. Lucky on unlimited plan.. So if i use offline it will still work? You need to go online if you want to have realtime traffic on ovi map. |

QUOTE(rebecks @ Jan 11 2010, 12:07 AM) was playing around with the phone...isnt there a way to configure the one-touch messaging button to straightaway go into the sms inbox? Go to control panel, settings, general, personalisation, One-touch, Messaging key. From here you can set either short press to go to New SMS or SMS application menu, or Long press.
