QUOTE(Cyber_devil @ Jan 14 2010, 09:20 PM) Hi Desmond, do i need to heck my phone to install this ovi map? I cant seem to install it as it said "Access not granted", i have signed it but still cant install.. any idea? This is weird, nobody encountered this before. Did you signed it successfully? How you sign it?Is your phone AP or Ori? Added on January 15, 2010, 12:35 am QUOTE(jackyap84 @ Jan 14 2010, 11:49 PM) appreciate anyone can explain what is "sign" and "unsigned" for E72 application/software install. thanks. Application/Software Sign Status(Got Certificate) = Everyone can install Unsigned Status(No Certificate) = U can install unless u sign it urself This post has been edited by desmand: Jan 15 2010, 12:35 AM |

QUOTE(SAA983X @ Jan 19 2010, 01:15 AM) Guys, Don't double post pls...Ok, for your question.I have noticed that in order to keep my wi-fi connected, i have to keep my browser open. means if i exit my browser, my wifi will get disconnected. So in order to check my gmail on my E72 using wifi, I have to open browser, connect to wifi, and then press home key (in order not to exit browser), and then check my gmail using wifi. (I have set my gmail connection default to WIFI, but still canot connect if i dont have my wifi connected with browser open in background) Kind of annoying. Do you guys agreed with my point, or you have another options to stay connected with wifi ? Why don't you setup your gmail in Nokia Messaging? That way ur WIFI won't be disconnected and you can check your mail anytime, and you'll received any mail instantly once someone send you mail. Added on January 19, 2010, 1:32 am QUOTE(dimpleeee @ Jan 19 2010, 01:02 AM) Eh, nothing special. I notice that connect through WIFI use less battery power than 3G connection. As usual, use only GSM if you have WIFI around. Turn off WIFI Scanning. Use TaskMan or Any task manager to kill any opened program. This post has been edited by desmand: Jan 19 2010, 01:32 AM |

QUOTE(teelim @ Jan 19 2010, 09:05 AM) Something to share (hope I'm not "outdated") Great! Add on here, when keypad is lock, we still can on our Flash light!! Just press and hold will do the trick..!!When keypad is locked, press and hold optical navi key or any of the direction keys and you will get this screen. ![]() useful to check time in the dark without having to unlock keypad and look at small clock. |

QUOTE(SAA983X @ Jan 19 2010, 04:10 PM) Thank you desmand...will try using nokia messaging... I'm not agree with that , as long you set the Access Point of your nokia messaging to Always Ask or to your WIFI connection, it won't even try to connect Added on January 19, 2010, 4:26 pmGood day all, Found this be to quite useful, lots of things in this site too: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/it..._Messaging_.php "It is recommended to have an unlimited (cellular) data connection. Otherwise the setup might not work properly, even after you are connected using WiFi. [anecdotal point from Steve - I fell foul of this, I suspect, trying to do it all over Wi-Fi, and Nokia Messaging wouldn't pick up email at all]" Quoted from the website. For me i am trying to avoid packet data connection for my mails, so i think i will advoid using nokia messaging. to 3G(packet data connection) at all. |

hi guys,
Have been using Sygic(another GPS for symbian/wmobile/iphone) for few days already, well the maps still not detail as garmin here are the pros and conts: Pro: 1) Speed limit warning for malaysia map yo! 2) Radar detection - not sure what is this.. 3) Lock GPS signal within sec, of coz with AGPS. 4) Real time navigation, just like ovi maps. With Car speeds, distance to the destination, and how many meters before next turn and... 5) Different UI compare to garmin, but still quite user friendly. 6) Got Demo Navigation somemore!! Const: 1) Not realtime traffic result. 2) sometimes hit Unexpected error. Could be firmware lo. 3) Searching of address only offline, since its ahem version. Sorry guys I cant post the link here but anyway u just need to google "sygic mobile for s60v3" and look for version 7.7.. Good Luck!! Added on January 30, 2010, 5:14 pm QUOTE(dimpleeee @ Jan 30 2010, 12:12 PM) haha..dunno...my digi takes forever..but some place it lock within secs..some..but mostly dont..=.= Which area u in? I recently switch to digi becoz the unlimited 3G for RM48.Added on January 30, 2010, 4:35 pmbry7..u ordered epikcase? O.O ^^ wut colour is ur e72? So no worried about AGPS costing already. QUOTE(teelim @ Jan 30 2010, 07:58 PM) hi desmand, Its a lot better than ovi maps, more complete map than ovi map.I,m currently trying to download the sygic gps software (abit slow at the moment) just hope you can share. is the malaysia map any good? Ovi maps its quite bad IMO. I have tried navigate to several place, so far so good. It works exactly like Garmin, but not laggy as garmin. Added on January 30, 2010, 11:52 pm QUOTE(mtgh @ Jan 30 2010, 06:59 PM) there is a discount for first year Rm48 Yup, exacty. however it is not unlimited 3G there is a limit to 3G of data (if i recall correctly) then it becomes 2G unlimited But this for Email, browsing & youtube & FB or tweeter. No torrent la... 3Gig should be enough... This post has been edited by desmand: Jan 30 2010, 11:53 PM |
