Planning to buy Xtreamer but not sure which one to choose between Sidewinder 2 and Pro.
Which one is better? I am very new to Xtreamer. Can the experts here please give some advice? There will be a PC Fair at Capsquare and Midvalley this weekend. I wonder whether there will be a special promotion for Xtreamer at PC Fair there. Anyone know about it please? Thanks a lot. |

I have purchased the new SideWinder2 two weeks ago but have not spent too much time on it yet.
To me, it is a quite a good player (support various files and HD sound) but with a few disadvantages: 1. The new firmware 3.0.8 is too slow in starting up and I thought my SideWinder2 is hang. 2. Telnet is not allowed in this new product to prevent user from modifying its software. 3. It does not support Bittorrent, which I am quite disappointed.  I have talked to one of their Technical Dept personnel and got to know that they have intention to release firmware 3.0+ to Xtreamer Pro, iXtreamer and Xtreamer. However, the exact release date is unknown. For eTRAYz, firmware 3.0+ will not be released for it.  Currently, Xtreamer is "busy" working on their new product, which is Xtreamer Sincx but the staff does not reveal anything further on this product. To me, Xtreamer has been in the market for quite sometime and have quite a lot of users, they should have put in more effort in fixing bugs and update the firmware more frequently (for older model, such as Pro and Xtreamer MK1) rather than just releasing new products. Furthermore, if Xtreamer open its source code to their users, more wonderful programs/scripts can be developed. This will definitely become an attraction of interest to purchase and use Xtreamer products.
