HD sound is not important for me now as i don't use any amp or theater now! lol~

Can anyone confirm with current firmware, the Pro can pass-through DTS-Master & Dolby TrueHD Audio??

 

They did the same when they launch the Xtreamer a year ago. Also in the specs and I bought it soley for this feature and they failed. Be careful, they are known for empty promises.  Suggest to wait for the new firmware which claims to enable this feature.

Nearly DTS HD MA is not DTS HD MA. There is a difference. So Xtreamer Pro is nearly there. My experience with Xtreamer is that there has been many nearly there but never got there. Xtreamer is no doubt a good product except for this feature which remains elusive. Yes, this new Pro with the new Realtek chip should allow HD audio passthrough but it should have been enabled at launch date not another firmware update.

Other media players like HDX BD-1 and Dune Prime 3.0 have HD audio passthrough on day of launch but not Xtreamer. So be weary of this promise. 

Exactly what I wanted to share. When the Xtreamer was introduced last year, HD audio passthrough was heavily advertised on their website and when they couldn't deliver it, they removed this from the product specs listing. 

I was one of many customers who bought the device for HD audio passthrough and after numerous bombarding at their forum (which their mods deleted/locked many posts inclduing mine), they finally removed this from the specs. 

They are trying to redeem themselves now and hopefully they succeed as the product is good and pricing is attractive for its features. Definitely worth considering if they live up to their promises.

I have problem with my Xtreamer Pro. Just bought it 2 weeks ago. After watch 1 movie its gone crazy (no sound or display or tv screen flickering.) When i touch it its hot as u can fry an egg on it. Theres a fan there but its seems like no use. Im using single 2TB internal HDD and planning to add another 1. Anyone here face the same problem?

Haha..Samsung ya, how reliable is their HD anyway? Tested Seagate, Hyundai, Western Digital, Hitachi..not one is perfect

hi, anyone here got their xtreamer live to work? mine doesn't. all i get is a blank screen. is it some ip blocking?

Looks attractive to me.... actually i just need it to support BD-ISO with HD audio passthrough.... and if possible Gigabit LAN, as i would need the media player connect to my Synology NAS

I saw a xtreamer sidewinder in digital mall. Does this come with the new chipset?

TViX M6600N and N1+ already can support HD Audio pass thru for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HDMA since 28.6.2010. Hmmm, where are others? What you pay what you get ma.

wah so fast, I wanted to update the FW (for Sidewinder) 2.3.1, but i found out that the sidewinder is packed with 2.3.2S....

Maybe will wait for 2.4 in future then I will upgrade for my dad. (He's enjoying the player @ hometown now )

Tried you tube and internet radio, all okay except that we hope the player can select 720p videos from Youtube. SD youtube videos dont look nice in our LCD TV.

This is a major breakthrough for XT.
