Just curious.. what soundcard are u on?.. besides yer Megalodon.

QUOTE(Neo8663 @ Jul 26 2009, 09:51 PM)
hey bro will u hear outside noise even
the megalodon in silent mode?
*
For those who didnt know..

Afaik, Carharias and Megalodon its 'open-ear' headsets.

Its not 'close-ear' which blocks most of the external sounds.

Good thing abt 'open-ear' headsets its that it doesn't make your ear sweat/uncomfortable as its ventilated unlike 'close-ear' headsets and if someone talks to u at least u can hear them...

The only setback imo abt 'open-ear' headsets its if ur in noisy area.. go figure...

Even RazerGuy said "Yes its comfortable, especially im a specs wearer" wink.gif

QUOTE(FidelisGVR @ Jul 26 2009, 11:19 PM)
Not sure la bro, but i do recall reading somewhere that the Megalodon is exclusively for pc. I'll check it out later. Now, i need to shoot heads in CS:S! hehe
*
Ermmm... shld be only for pc.. considering it just has usb plug... no typical 3.5mm cable..

Cheers tongue.gif

True, but at the same time i was wondering mabbe Everdying's ones its one of those "demo/display unit"..

You know.. just to show off... just extra "prop" for it as one of marketing reasons tongue.gif

Anyone else can clarify this?..

Cheers hmm.gif

but since this is malaysia and ppl like to complain alot like certain dealers...the prices couldnt go there...

*

depends.
playing FPS for long hours on a slanted keyboard is just not comfortable.
with it flat, theres less tension on your wrist.
*
Yeah same here, i used to think the same way.. abt flat-keyboards.. thinking uncomfortable, after i use my Sidewinder X6 for a year plus, apparently its more comfortable than typical keyboards.

Not to mentioned, X6 don't even have "legs" to adjust heights... lol.

Razer Megasoma™
COST: US: $49.99, Europe €49.99
AVAILABILITY: Worldwide

Features:

    * Exclusive ambient glow(does this mean it will glow??LOLX..sry for my poor understanding)
*
By the look of it, somehow it looks like one of those "glow in the dark" material... aka "ambient glow(?)".

QUOTE(azrinarizz @ Aug 20 2009, 09:09 PM)
Not necessary you need a uber good soundcard to power the headphone
I'm using an onboard 7.1 sound card which comes with my motherboard. Yet I still can get the headshots
You dont have to. A normal basic sound card will do
I'm sure you listen to music, watch movies and play some games
*
Just to avoid confusion..

A good soundcard does help to drive any sound output, from fidelity to effects.

Its not necessary or a requirement, but it does improve your sound quality, unless your headset has their own "built-in soundcard" like Megalodon.

almost 90% i agreed except the weight, some review say it very lightweight.
actually, for me this headset not very lightweight. but it still acceptable for it's size.
however, the foam make this headset weight not depress our head to much.

i give this carcharias 8/10,
why 8/10? this headset dont have cool look with side LED like megalodon, haha  laugh.gif
*
Not lightweight?.. what other headset (similar priced) u have its lighter than Razer Carcharias?.. blink.gif

lighter headset for similar carcharias priced? actually this is my 1st headset i ever has in that price range..
before this just use a cheap headset which more lighter than carcarias, of course it lighter because the design is more smaller and using cheap material too.

maybe i need time to adapt with carcharias weight. however, it's very comfy and i already love it.
*
Thats why i was wondering u said its "not lightweight".. as u've been using cheap headset tongue.gif.. as imo bad comparision to it.

Cheers sweat.gif
