Official pics of the PS3 slim. Honestly... it looks ugly. Seriously... very ugly.

One major feature gone from the new PS3 slim is that there will be NO more Linux support on it. Atleast thats what Sony's saying. Oh and of course, no PS2 backwards-compatibility too.

With the $100 price drop.... I'd still plunk down for the old PS3 if I'm to become a new PS3 owner. 40GB less space though... could be a problem for people who never just wants to upgrade for whatever reasons.

By the way.... Sony is still shipping with composite cables!

I know bro... I know.
But I really think they should make it a multi-AV solution. Composite and Component combined all in one like how the 360 previously does (although it has also reverted to composite only now with the new Elite bundle).

But ah well...
People will come in saying how much can a HDMI cable cost right?

Btw on the new firmware 3.0, I like how the What's New option been redesigned. Currently they're all just annoying RSS feeds at the moment and I always turn them off on any new PS3 consoles.

There could be some issues though... especially with the PSN store for the video service. I'm betting for US PSN users who aren't from US innitially will get a full blank 9-slots when we hover it.

Sony did say that video services will really take off soon for other regions and countries. So since Malaysia is an officially supported region now, well... I'd say sometime around early to mid next year. If we're lucky Sony may just pull another suprise next month in TGS!

I think the slim yea... would come 2 weeks to a month later.
But it'll be interesting to see if all Sony outlets in Malaysia drop the price of the PS3 starting today, which I probably won't see happening until atleast next week.

The current black color does make the PS3 Slim very cheap looking.... exactly like a china-designed item (okay, I KNOW it is made in china! lulz!).

There should be more colors. White and Silver will definitely help the PS3 slim not look so cheaply made.

You guys should give the WET demo a go.
I was expecting this game to totally flop, but atleast from the demo... it was decent. I like the 1980's style and for once, the QTE isn't abused to kill bosses or what not.

Give it a go guys.

Only the default theme has motion with particles and what not.
No moving themes yet, but you can bet that Sony will release a couple of them this Thursday/Friday.

BTW, the visual player which resembles the wave when playing music has also been updated with the shiny particles.

People were complaining that the fonts previously were way too small on bigger screen TVs where they sit particularly far away. You know, Sony should have just gave an option for the old fonts and now larger fonts.

Is it really that hard to do?

Something's wrong with the What's New section.
The place where they show the last 3 games you played, doesn't show up correctly. I last played Batman, but yet it shows up Home, Pixel Junk Monsters, MGS4.

Strange as heck....
