Tested 'Open Remote Play' just now. Works exactly the same as PSP remote play, but you can use it on your PC/laptop.

worked before in 2.76

but not 2.80

hopefully they will release a new build of orp for 2.80

You need a homebrew-enabled PSP to dump your PSP-PS3 remote play configuration settings. You can refer here:

And, also 2.76 firmware installed PS3 as mentioned by vorchiel. Looks like Sony did something in 2.80 to block this application from running. I haven't update my PS3 yet.

Yeap, 2.8 has blocked ORP.

BTW, for those of you who has shared PSN content (games) with others, double check your game info and make sure the game is associated with the user ID you downloaded for. I've received some reports saying that after the 2.8 update, they couldn't start the game they shared with others anymore. They simply needed to re-download again and activating the content again from the master account.

I know this problem has been around before even 2.76 as I've encountered it once. But after 2.8, it seems more apparent. Just a heads up.

Gyus, I just got my PS3 yesterday. And I updated the firmware to 2.80 cause I was prompted by the system. After downloading, my games will not load anymore. Someone please help me!!!!!

the workaround for 2.80 is by spoofing the client pc MAC to match the PSP MAC address

Confirming my games and PSN DLC are working fine.

did you switch off your ps3 when your were doing the update? if your ps3 is from sony malaysia, the best thing to do is to send it back to sony.
i don't have any problems updating to 2.80.
