he merely suggest profile 50 coz he wanted to clear existing stock.
profile 55 is slightly thicker than 50, thus give an added comfort to the ride. town ride and highway cruising definitely goes to profile 55. profile 50 is good for handling / cornering and perhaps, looks! but i'll choose profile 45 anytime for handling and looks purpose. your spectra should be fine with profile 55. now you noticed the ride is slightly firm, isn't it? |

no chance. tires already in use. just bear with it until the next change. we all learn from mistake. make sure to ask around if you're unsure. don't trust the seller 100% fazron80@ where are you from? there is one in balakong area. turn left around shell petrol station after the mines shopping center. it's call z motorsports or something. cost around 80 bucks. good thing it was of pu steering bush which gives a tighter steering feel. JJ91@ check out pinned tread of tires price list. spiderwick@ you could try manual alignment. else, change your steering bush. refer to my reply on fazron80's question. depending on the tires compound / material / type / road condition and driving style. should be good for another 40k km. unless it was a semi slick, sports or extreme performance tires with low tread wear. |

both hankook v12 and ps3 is a good tires. with ps3 being quieter and better wet grip. of course, more expensive too. huh!told ya after changing to pu bush, steering feels tighter after every corner, all i have to do is holding the steering wheel slightly loose and it will turn itself straight in no time. which is more convenience. spiderwick@ there is this silverstone motorsports in balakong, in front of jusco cheras selatan that do a good manual alignment. the foreman will test your car a few time after the alignment done. sometimes, it may take 2 hours to get done. that's it until the foreman satisfied with the result. cost vary from 38 bucks to under 150 bucks on all 4 side! depending on driving style, if we always turn the steering in full force during a turn, chances are the bush migh give way faster too. lulu89@ your vios could accept 185/55/r15 or 195/55/r15 without any problem. better handling. Str33tBoY@ low profile tires tend to gives a bumpy ride. depending on the suspension setup and tires pressure too. + point; better cornering and looks good too |

i'd been using mostly yokohama for quite sometimes, parada, hs4, s.drive, c.drive and ad07... until the ps3 comes out. trashed a friend's car fitted with ps3
in karak and now, both of my ride is fitted with ps3. there is no way to compare ad07 with ps3 coz both are in different category but in uhp classs, s.drive is noisier and slightly less grip in wet compare to ps3. ziex 912 and parada has a softer sidewall thus doesn't mean for 'touge' drive. unless you pump higher pressure which in turn affect the tires behavior. btw, where did you bought your ps3 from? |

QUOTE(amad108 @ Sep 6 2010, 10:22 PM) ziex 912 n parada hv softer sidewall? haizz.. just thinking about how it perform in touge, so PP2 is the best choice then for touge style driving ler.. yes. both had a softer sidewall. you can use 'em for touge but need more air(pump higher pressure).but there are those t1-r, bridgestone re001, re01r or 050 or even the s.drive, ad07, ad08 and some offering from federal. |

QUOTE(kobe10 @ Sep 17 2010, 02:03 AM) for handling, 205 with profile 45 is fine... uhp from bridgestone or yokohama s.drive is decent enough QUOTE(phas3r @ Sep 17 2010, 02:13 AM) may i know what kind of behavior? using a soft sidewall tyres for hardcore touge' will caused the tyres' sidewall, especially the upper part to be slightly bulging.after changing to PS3@35psi the car is floating more at highway speeds. hence i pumped 39psi recently, the ride feels hard but more stable in highway is it just me or is it getting noisier and less grip too with more psi? what car are you driving? 225/45/r17 at 39psi is a little on the high pressure. it may caused the middle section tread to wear out faster than both side end. as the tread wear out, any tyres will become noisier. btw, fwd car need more tyres pressure on the front. QUOTE(kons @ Sep 17 2010, 11:49 AM) you can't go wrong with michellin premium comfort class tyres. not sure if the continental cc5 have 'em at those size. |

more like a winter size tyre.. jk. or perhaps, bigger old skool' car which used to have a smaller diameter but wider wheels i thought bridgestone turanza series and toyo cf1 or something had it at those size? even those michellin energy series and dunlop direzza had 'em. |

the tyre alone doesn't look weird but it will be very much depend on what car. if it was on a big car, side view will be quite odd but who cares,
as long as it works well, should be okay. check with the tyre shop if the 14" rim could take the 185 width without any problem too. |

it's the issue with 185 width and the rims compatibility that need to be address.
you can try turanza which had a better treadwear rate. |

those review on that site are not official. more of an individual review which tend to be very general and bias towards personal preference / experience.
if you're growing up driving with uhp tyre, you will noticed even a slight different on tyre feedback when changing to hp class tyre. while those used to using comfort / premium tyre might complaint if you give them the uhp tyre oh! and v12 had better grip compare to my-01 |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Sep 25 2010, 10:41 AM) michellin premium comfort range(check with rascal_stitch for pricing) and continental cc5.QUOTE(idunnolol @ Sep 25 2010, 12:18 PM) both are entry level donut. but from experience, i will put my money on a.drive.eagle nct5's grip sux' big time. even so when the tread is lower than 70%. QUOTE(phas3r @ Sep 25 2010, 12:19 PM) yeah stock size at 225 45 17. those two all performance is it? i appreciate quietness too! both are performance donut. which tend to be quite noisy. can't get a comfort, quiet and handling at once package.before this was on CSC2/3. even at 32 psi it's rock stable. 35psi for mk5 and 38psi for mk6. if fully loaded 37/41 or something. anyways for highway drive it's better to pump higher. any views on RE050? covered 2,500kms on the PS3 already(in only 3 weeks), starting to love it now. re050 are a rung below the re001. haven't try re050 yet but r001 is definitely a good buy for a highly spirited driving. after a run in, your current ps3 donut is started showing it's true potential |

exactly! f1 asymmetric is a fine piece of donut which is only available in bigger size. even quieter and better grip than the gsd3.
so, it's true that its sidewall sux? a friend of mine got his few months old f1 asymmetric's sidewall cracked too. too much of touge'. |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Sep 25 2010, 05:53 PM) thanks for the feedback guys. but michelin out of my budget. im looking around rm250-350 price range. currently using Bridgestone my01. after using nearly 2 weeks, im really cant stand the stand the noise came from it. you should avoid directional tread pattern. they're noisy in nature.have you checked the price of continental cc5? falken ze912 is fine too. |
