I've been trying to quit too, last time (1 year ago) one day one box 20's...
Now one day maximum 6 sticks... For me, it's quite an achievement, but i cant seem to lower it to 0...
Any ex-heavy smokers to advice here?

My experience is to first to stop all the chiggy's that i like. For an example right after food, right after i wake up. After i have accomplished that i moved on to generally quitting. Quitting to me is a sudden gesture. I just let go. For a few months. Yes its hard but you need will power. Being active in sports helped me. then one day i bought a stick from a mamak shop to test my addiction. To my surprise i did not feel like smoking it more than half the but.
