it will decrease performance because the cover there is to control the airflow and make sure it goes through the fins...

I see, I though it will easy reduce the heat because "open" and let the case fan go for it.

I not so like this kind of fan because hard cleaning and the fan easy getting problem..... now need to change the fan and see is it remove the cover will be nice or not biggrin.gif

i had my 7900GT cover removed since the 1st day i own it
and I had my fan card to blow at it

If you got additional cooling or plan to add one, just remove it

my ori 7900gs card fan getting problem like not spin at all when the pc just turn on, need wait awhile then only turn it, and it turn slow also.

i just want to change the small fan, so at the same time also need to remove the plastic cover then only can install the new small fan, and just see is it ok to remove or not after change biggrin.gif

Em I don't have fan blow on it but I got side fan to exhaust the display card heat, is it ok also ?

If you have any 80mm or 92mm fan then you can just mod and let it blow your card. That would help reducing the heat a little.

Will it reduced the performance?
It okay if opened cased.. if the air flow inside the case is good plus..got fan card to suck the heat out..performance of the card won;t be affected one..
Juz the fan don pull out can D..XD
