can i use rivatuner for ATi gpu, i wanted to use its vista sidebar temp and clock monitoring, Is it possible? can it work like its being use for nvidia gpu?

Cause the one i bought today is blue instead of red pcb colour.

Either take HD4770 or else wait HD4850 price drops further due to HD4770 performance lost just about 5% off HD4850.

If you like crossfire, HD4770 2 units have 20% performance boost than HD4890.

I've called robnycom to clarify it, is new batch of Sapphire HD4890. Could be the same board as vapor X but not the cooling.

AFAIK, vapour X uses different way of cooling the GPU.

After checking with the picture of vapour X, is different card. Since it require 8pin+6pin while mine is 6pins x2

How do i enable GPU Monitor for Vista Sidebar for my Ati HD4890. When i open the gadgets, there is error saying "ERROR, Failed to connect to RTHM shared memory. Please start RivaTuner and activate the low-level hardware monitoring module.

Guys, any ideas why my ati HD4890 running on vista. Using everest ultimate doesn't have real time hardware monitoring for the GPU where else my nvidia did.

The only place to read the gpu temp, clock and fan speed is GPU-Z

Did you set the fan control manual and adjust the fan speed higher then let it work automatically?

So anybody could me solve the real time hardware monitoring issue?

My everest ultimate can monitor almost all sensor except the GPU sensor. I can't use Rivatuner to set low-level manual fan adjustment.

CCC i can set the fan but not a profile like i did for my nvidia using rivatuner. And there is no sensor detection for me when im using vista sidebar. Is good to have real time monitoring on gpu after gameplay when looking at the sidebar.

is it hd4890 too new that the driver haven't implement it back?

So far no problem. Just compare it runs hotter than my gtx260+. The fan can spin faster than nvidia reference cooling fan but noisy as my hair dryer. Now overclock little by little. 3dmark vantage seems a bit low. Manage 108xx while my gtx260+ already past 13k point with 700mhz core. Any idea how far can hd4890 push?

I think i miss out that. If is auto enabled by 3dmark, then is physx on. I'll benchamrk again without that feature on

Current market which price tag at RM 385 is reference cooler which cools the GPU mostly.

I've benchmark it with PhysX Off.



So how far should i overclock HD4890 to beat this GTX260+?

Currently my HD4890 runs at 900mhz core and 1000mhz memory

Maybe later i try bump it to 950mhz core and memory to 1050mhz. But the card is purely reference card from AMD. Still have to overclock my processor to 3.2ghz.

Seems like Sapphire HD4890 1GB has hit is limit!

Core 900mhz Memory 1000mhz. Can't go any further as furmark shows artifacts.
