in business point of view, dis is great timing for ATI to release their new gen card.
dey release their new architecture, next month, which avoid direct clash wit nvidia GT300. by the time nvidia releases GT300 by early next year, lets say it beats ATI 5k series. by dat time, there wil b OC/non reference version of ATI 5k cards. or mayb by dat time, ATI can release enhanced version of RV870, 5890 perhaps? |

QUOTE(zeustronic @ Aug 30 2009, 10:43 PM) i dun think it is true.vr-zone usually tell bad stuff bout nvidia, & Charlie Demerjian is like the biggest nvidia hater ever. remember guys, even if u're a ATI fanboy, u still need nvidia to keep the price low. |

u'll really only need high fps on fast moving game such as first person shooter & racing game, those where the display on screen changes rapidly.
the rest, slower pacing game like RPG, RTS, 30fps is very fine. |

QUOTE(campsol2k @ Sep 11 2009, 05:18 PM) Dude.. try to bake the card in the oven @180C for 5~7 minutes if u want to revive it back... it worked for my NV7900GTO... the card started to create artifacts and BSODed when entering windows.. after baking it.. bang!... now it works flawlessly... stressed the card with furmark, ATItool, 3dmark... didnt encounter any problem so far... dat is if the problem is cause by the solder.heating it to ~200C for ~ 10 minutes belief to b enough to melt the solder & joint it bck. |

QUOTE(D-Zire @ Sep 11 2009, 06:24 PM) lol thats like taking a risk...if u correctly melted the solder (which u wont have any control of it) u'll get a good card after baking but if the melting process goes wrong....there goes ur money etc.... 10 minutes is ntgh.Wont the baking melts the capacitors or pcb? gosh this is a crazy idea if u baked @ those temperature for longer time, talking bout days, den the chemical reaction would produce poison gas. |
