flashing bios in windows or dos is almost same but windows hv risk otomen did said the reason...
flash in dos also hv risk....wat version dos u booting is more importand.... dos version 5 or higher .. windows 98 bootdisk or new can use . win 95 bootdisk dos 16bit program will a risk to try ..So 32 bit dos it must
About flashing bios b4 the system post ...this all depend wat bios is use ...a bit hard for beginner. bios files nid to rename . floppy drive is need and speaker of mobo also nid.. award bios nid to add some boot command and runing command text ...this flashing w/o any display on LCD just hearing the sound from speaker....hv to wait until the 4th beeps then u can restart . pls dont try this way ..is very risk . only can try this if u r flashing to corrupt bios then u can use this to recover the bios back...but also depend on luck..if the boot block /system block in bios rom no corupted
