If can, get LCD TV rather than monitor. Playing with big screen give you better advantage.

Agree with myputera. Get a Lcd TV and a HDMI cable. You regret it. I got my xbox 360 from nelson lastnite. Try it on LCD TV with a HDMI. Wow..the graphic damn cun!!!

1080p native Xbox 360 games in my list are NBA Street Homecourt, Virtua Tennis 3 & Virtua Tennis 2009 (maybe).

My friend just got Samsung Full-HD 32” with 50 000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Price RM2600. Damn. I’m so jealous. I got LCD TV last year where good Full-HD is only 42” with RM4k+ price tag while 32” Full-HD owned by Philip & SONY sux. So I had no choice but to buy 46” Sharp Aquos Full-HD with 10 000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Now there is really good & cheap 32” LCD Full-HD produce by Samsung & can beat my 7k 46” LCD-TV.

I think that because most games are native 720p although consoles support 1080p including PS3 titles. PS3 had 24 tiles on native 1080p if not mistaken & it was more comparing to Xbox 360 titles. Let say PS3 only had 24 titles, how about less native 1080p titles on Xbox 360? That’s why 720p is still the best at console gaming at the moment.

LCD, since game designs on it. But if you have more money LED is always welcome. It is better for your health & environment, green power & no mercury. I think! hmm.gif

Guys... got a question.

Is there an appreciable visible difference playing Xbox 360 games on Full HD and HD Ready TVs?

For one, I keep hearing not many games are full HD native and even those that are don't look a hell lot more better on full HD screens than on HD ready screens.

I'm asking because the new 50" Panny plasma is tempting me. Moving to my new house later this year after renovations.. so right now damn itchy..

LCD wit 720p is great enough to play xb360 coz the xbox games support in 720p only coz 1080p required more space for today games since DVD have limited space than the bluray for ps3..... notworthy.gif ........

HD-Ready is enough, but it is always welcome to have Full-HD HDTV if got too much money to spend on larger HDTV. If go for larger than 37” I think it is better with Full-HD since broken pixel easily appear on screen especially if planning to get 50”.

All Xbox 360 games do support 1080p via upscale beautifully (e.g: Resident Evil 5) & most PS3 games do that also since BD space usually just go waste with lazy dev refuse make native 1080p on their PS3’s release title (but still deliver awesome graphic; e.g: Metal Gear Solid 4) except some SONY 1st & 2nd party developer.

It's already available for awhile in Singapore. Try Vivo City GV Cineplex

It's called 4K digital Cinema (4096×2160) and I must say, the images are very very sharp.

It'll be awhile before Malaysia will ever see this though.

But back to the topic - LCD monitors are ok if you intend to sit in front of the monitor all day. But if you really want to lay back and stretch, go for a 32 inch or larger LCD TV. It's more enjoyable to play on a larger viewing area.
